QA Automation Engineer (Mid/Senior) (Full Remote)

Role Overview: A hands-on, delivery-focused role responsible for designing, building, and running automated tests across API, UI, integration, and regression layers within product teams, leveraging AI-assisted testing techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, write, and maintain automated tests across API, UI, integration, regression, and data layers.
• Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into test cases and automated scenarios from the start of each sprint.
• Extend shared automation frameworks with reusable components, utilities, and test data builders.
• Apply AI tools (LLMs, GitHub Copilot) daily to generate test cases, data, and automation code, piloting techniques like self-healing locators.
• Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS, Azure) and configure quality gates and dashboards.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, promote shift-left testing, and collaborate on incident management and root-cause analysis.

Tech Stack & Core Requirements:

• Experience: 4+ years in QA/software testing, with at least 3 years writing test automation in production codebases.
• Programming Languages: Solid coding skills in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java.
• Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST-assured, or equivalent.
• API & CI/CD: Strong API testing skills (REST, JSON, contract/schema validation) and CI/CD pipeline integration (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
• Tools & Practices: Practical use of AI tools (LLMs/Copilot), Git, code reviews, clean-code practices, and Agile/Scrum experience.
• Nice-to-haves: AWS, Docker, performance testing (k6, JMeter), SQL/database testing, and security testing (OWASP ZAP).
• Languages: Fluent English (primary working language); French or Spanish is a plus.
