This is a remote position.
About the Job
As a QA Automation Engineer at Aspire, you will combine your hands-on automation and manual testing experience to build and maintain reliable, high-quality software solutions. You will work across web application testing, automation frameworks, CI/CD, and API testing while collaborating with developers, product owners, and QA engineers to improve software quality and delivery.
What You’ll Do
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web applications.
- Perform manual functional, regression, and exploratory testing where automation is not the right fit.
- Design test cases and test scenarios based on requirements and user stories.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
- Improve test coverage and maintain scalable, reliable automation frameworks.
- Participate in sprint planning, reviews, and Agile team discussions.
- Communicate testing progress, risks, defects, and quality concerns to relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers, Product Owners, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
- Increased automated test coverage and reduced manual testing effort.
- Improved software quality through effective functional, regression, and API testing.
- Faster and more reliable releases through CI/CD test automation.

What You’ll Need
- Hands-on experience with manual testing and test case design.
- Experience developing automation scripts for web applications.
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management.
- Ability to analyze requirements and translate them into clear test scenarios.
- Strong JavaScript skills; TypeScript is a plus.
- Proficiency in Playwright is preferred.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
- Basic experience with API testing using Postman or Playwright API testing.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Experience with Git and code reviews.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Knowledge of performance or accessibility testing is a plus.
- ISTQB or other relevant testing certification is a plus.
- Awareness and application of IT security best practices aligned with ISO / SOC standards.
