About ZOVU
ZOVU is building one platform for restaurant operations, connecting POS, reservations, loyalty, staff planning, and customer experiences.
We are bootstrapped, with an MVP nearing completion. As we prepare for restaurant launches, we want testing that reflects how the product behaves during real service.
The opportunity
Help make ZOVU dependable by investigating failures and building repeatable tests.
This three-month internship combines exploratory testing with automation. You will follow workflows across applications, identify what went wrong, and work with developers to ensure the same failure is caught in future.
What you will work on
- Test complete workflows such as ordering, checkout, refunds, stock changes, and kitchen updates.
- Write clear bug reports with reproduction steps, expected behavior, and supporting evidence.
- Develop API and browser automation, and contribute to Flutter integration tests.
- Test permissions, tenant isolation, retries, reconnects, and interrupted actions.
- Create test data and repeatable regression checks.
- Investigate flaky tests and distinguish product defects from test problems.
- Help the team prioritize defects by customer impact.
What we are looking for
- Practical software testing experience from work, study, or personal projects.
- Some programming ability in TypeScript/JavaScript, Dart, or another relevant language.
- Understanding of APIs, assertions, test cases, and reproducible failures.
- A careful, curious approach to investigating unexpected behavior.
- Clear written communication.
- Willingness to understand the product rather than test only individual screens.
Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Flutter testing, API tools, or CI is useful. You do not need to know every tool before joining.
What success looks like
Useful tests that catch meaningful failures, bug reports developers can act on, and better confidence in important restaurant workflows.
How we work
The internship lasts three months, targeting 32 hours per week. Share your actual availability and earliest start date.
We work remotely and primarily asynchronously. You will collaborate with developers and product colleagues on test priorities and fixes. Continued opportunities depend on performance, business needs, and funding; there is no guaranteed permanent role.
Apply
Send your CV and an example of testing work to HR@zovuhq.com. This can be a test repository, automation sample, test plan, or anonymized bug report.
