QA Engineer

Role Overview As a Senior QA Engineer , you will establish and lead the company's quality assurance initiatives from the ground up. This is a hands-on role responsible for creating scalable QA frameworks, testing product releases, establishing testing standards, and serving as a key quality partner to product managers, developers, and designers. You will test both internal systems and consumer-facing digital experiences while building the processes used to report, track, and resolve product issues. This role is ideal for an experienced QA professional who can bring structure to an environment where formal QA systems are still being developed and take ownership of product quality throughout the release lifecycle. Location Fully Remote | Within 9:00 AM–5:00 PM EST Key Responsibilities QA Framework & Process Development Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive QA and testing framework from the ground up. Establish scalable testing processes that support ongoing product development and releases. Develop best practices and standard operating procedures for identifying, reporting, tracking, and resolving bugs. Bring structure and consistency to quality assurance processes across the product environment. Release & Product Testing Conduct rigorous manual testing of releases across internal systems and consumer-facing digital properties. Test direct-to-consumer landing pages and conversion funnels to ensure seamless functionality and accuracy. Verify cross-browser and cross-device compatibility across consumer-facing experiences. Identify bugs, inconsistencies, usability issues, and other product quality concerns before releases reach production. Support the eventual expansion of QA processes into automated testing. Project Management & Bug Tracking Use Jira and Asana to manage the testing lifecycle and track issues through resolution. Ensure bugs and QA tickets are clearly documented, categorized, prioritized, and maintained. Create and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases. Document release testing results and maintain organized release sign-offs. Ensure QA documentation remains accurate and accessible throughout the product lifecycle. Cross-Functional Product Collaboration Work closely with product managers, developers, and designers throughout the development and release process. Communicate technical issues clearly and concisely to distributed team members. Serve as a hands-on product partner responsible for maintaining quality standards before code reaches production. Provide clear feedback and documentation that enables development teams to efficiently reproduce and resolve issues. Experience 5+ years of dedicated Quality Assurance experience. Experience testing web applications, internal tools, and high-conversion landing pages. Proven experience designing and implementing QA systems, processes, and workflows from scratch. Experience managing testing and bug-tracking workflows using Jira and Asana. Experience testing direct-to-consumer web experiences and conversion funnels. Experience conducting manual software testing, with exposure to automated testing considered valuable as the QA function evolves. Skills Demonstrates strong software quality assurance capabilities and can independently design structured testing processes that support reliable product releases. Has hands-on experience creating QA frameworks, test plans, test cases, bug-reporting standards, and release sign-off procedures from the ground up. Is highly proficient with Jira and Asana and can use both platforms to document, categorize, track, and manage testing activities throughout the resolution lifecycle. Has a strong understanding of direct-to-consumer web experiences and can effectively test landing pages and conversion funnels for functionality, usability, and accuracy. Can conduct detailed cross-browser and cross-device testing to identify inconsistencies and ensure reliable consumer-facing experiences. Communicates technical issues clearly and can provide developers, product managers, and designers with actionable information needed to reproduce and resolve problems. Maintains detailed and accurate QA documentation while managing multiple testing priorities and product releases. Can work autonomously while collaborating closely with distributed product, development, and design teams. What Success Looks Like A comprehensive and reliable QA framework is successfully established and adopted by the product team. Jira and Asana provide clear visibility into testing activities, bugs, ownership, and resolution status. Production bugs are significantly reduced through rigorous pre-release testing. Internal systems and consumer-facing experiences consistently meet established quality standards. Testing documentation, test cases, and release sign-offs remain organized and reliable. Product managers, developers, and designers view the Senior QA Engineer as a trusted partner for product quality. QA processes continue evolving toward a more scalable testing environment, including eventual automation.
