QA Engineer

At Cyclad, we work with top international IT companies to help them deliver cutting-edge technologies that shape the future. We are currently looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join an international Agile product team working on quality assurance and software testing.

The role focuses primarily on hands-on manual testing, with approximately 80% manual testing and 20% test automation. You will be responsible for validating business processes, performing exploratory testing, identifying defects, and gradually expanding and maintaining automated test coverage.

Your responsibilities:

• Perform manual functional, regression, end-to-end, and exploratory testing
• Validate business processes and product functionality
• Design and document test scenarios using Gherkin / BDD principles
• Identify, analyse, document, and report defects
• Execute test cases and ensure proper coverage of business requirements
• Contribute to automated test coverage using Java and Cucumber
• Maintain and expand existing automated tests
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders within an Agile/Scrum team
• Analyse complex business processes and identify potential quality risks
• Support continuous improvement of testing processes and quality practices
• Contribute to the overall quality ownership of the product
• Perform data validation and reconciliation where required
• Support ETL testing and SQL-based data verification when applicable

Requirements:

• Strong professional experience in Manual Testing
• Hands-on experience with functional, regression, E2E, and exploratory testing
• Experience writing test scenarios using Gherkin / BDD principles
• Knowledge of Java and Cucumber-based test automation
• Experience identifying, analysing, and reporting software defects
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Ability to work effectively in complex business environments
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proactive, quality-focused, and collaborative mindset
• Experience with Playwright is an advantage
• Experience developing Java automation frameworks is an advantage
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevSecOps practices is an advantage
• Experience with Jira and Xray is an advantage
• ISTQB certification is an advantage
• Experience in Financial Services, Leasing, or Insurance is an advantage
• Hands-on experience with ETL testing, including data validation, reconciliation, and SQL-based verification, is a strong advantage
