QA Engineer (Manual Testing)

We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer with solid experience in both functional and non-functional testing to design, execute, and manage testing strategies across Web, Mobile, Batch, IVR, and Backend applications.

In this role, you will work autonomously within Agile teams, ensuring product quality from the earliest stages of development. You will actively contribute to improving testing processes and collaborate with the Product Owner to help define acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test cases and test plans
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing
• Execute tests across Web, Mobile, Batch, IVR, and Backend applications
• Manage the defect lifecycle and track issues using Jira
• Validate services and APIs using tools such as Postman
• Support database testing through basic queries
• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies
• Identify and propose improvements to the testing process
• Collaborate with developers and the Product Owner to clarify requirements
• Document test evidence and results in a structured manner

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in manual testing, with a focus on Web and Mobile applications
• Strong experience in test case design and development
• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum)
• Proven experience in defect management and quality metrics
• Experience testing APIs with Postman
• Ability to write and run database queries (Oracle and MongoDB)
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Jira
• Strong analytical thinking, organization, and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative, proactive mindset
• A strong commitment to quality

Nice to have

• Experience in the banking sector (e.g., BBVA) within Agile environments
• Knowledge of banking operations
• Familiarity with Kanban
• Experience with performance testing and security testing
• Experience with TestRail
• Basic knowledge of test automation
