QA Engineer (Mid-level)

About the Role:

We're looking for a Mid-level QA Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of our product through a mix of manual testing and test automation. You'll work closely with developers and product managers throughout the development lifecycle.

Note:

Location: Must be based in and currently residing in Egypt (remote role, Egypt-based team).

Languages: Native or fluent Arabic (our internal team communicates in Arabic) and excellent command of English (written and spoken), required for client-facing work.

Responsibilities

• Design, write, and execute manual test cases for new features and regression testing.
• Build and maintain automated test suites (UI, API, and/or integration tests).
• Identify, document, and track bugs through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria and testability requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and release readiness reviews.
• Continuously improve test coverage and QA processes.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in software QA.
• Solid understanding of manual testing methodologies (test case design, exploratory testing, bug reporting).
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar).
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Notion, TestRail).
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a fully remote team.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript.
