QA Engineer, Senior

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer, Senior to join our growing organization. A Typical Day in the Life Includes: Quality Strategy & Process Foster a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement Define and implement QA strategies, standards and best practices Establish and maintain test plans, test cases and test cycles Ensure QA processes align with organizational goals and compliance requirements Continuously improve testing methodologies (manual, automated, exploratory) Testing & Execution Be part of and oversee functional, regression, integration and performance testing Ability to read and understand code and system architecture Review and approve test cases, scripts and test results Ensure timely identification, documentation and tracking of defects Validate defect fixes and confirm release readiness Balance risk, quality and delivery timelines Collaboration & Communication Act as the primary QA point of contact for projects or products Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, DevOps and Business teams Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives Communicate QA status, risks and recommendations clearly to stakeholders Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle Automation & Tools Drive test automation strategy and adoption Select, implement and maintain QA tools and frameworks Ensure proper use of defect tracking and test management systems Analyse test results and trends to improve coverage and efficiency Compliance & Risk Management Ensure adherence to regulatory, security and industry standards (where applicable) Identify quality risks early and propose mitigation plans Support audits, documentation and process assessments Basic Qualifications: 6+ years of professional experience in testing and QA 1+ years of experience in a senior QA role Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium) Strong knowledge of Coding and SQL Understanding of web applications and multi-tiered product architecture Flexible working across different time zones Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Strong team-building skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines High attention to detail with a proactive mindset Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field of study Knowledge of the Agile methodology Knowledge of Jira and other Atlassian tools Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS) Gen AI tools knowledge and experience in using AI for testing
