Our client is a leading SaaS payroll processing and rights management business, providing innovative technology solutions that simplify financial and legal operations for production companies. Their platform streamlines complex backend payout processes for contractors and crew members, improving operational visibility and enabling commercial decision-making.

Role Purpose

To ensure high-quality software releases through targeted manual testing, thorough defect analysis, browser-level diagnostics, and close collaboration with product and engineering teams. You will form a critical component in delivering core features across the client’s platform suite (utilizing modern web architectures including Angular v17), driving root-cause analysis, and supporting the team’s evolution toward modern test practices and automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Define test strategy, execution approaches, and coverage models for web-based SaaS applications.
  

• Perform thorough functional, regression, and pre-release testing to ensure application integrity.
  

• Utilize browser DevTools (Elements, Console, Network) and virtual environments (e.g., BrowserStack) to perform root-cause analysis and diagnostic testing.
  

• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using Jira and test management platforms like TestRail.
  

• Collaborate closely with engineering leads, business analysts, and product managers to influence release decisions and quality standards.
  

• Scope and estimate QA efforts for sprint planning and upcoming feature deliverables.
  

• Participate in continuously improving QA processes, remaining adaptable to future test automation integration and AI-driven testing workflows.
  

• Mentor and support team members to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  

Required Experience

• 7+ years of industry experience in software quality assurance / test analyst roles.
  

• In-depth understanding of the SDLC and hands-on experience in Agile development environments.
  

• Strong web diagnostic capabilities, specifically using browser DevTools (Console, Network, Elements) to isolate backend vs. frontend issues.
  

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on root-cause identification.
  

• Proven ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a remote, multi-disciplinary team environment.
  

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  

Technical Skills & Tooling

• Solid technical grasp of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and HTTP protocols.
  

• Practical familiarity with web applications built on modern front-end frameworks (such as Angular v17).
  

• Hands-on experience with project and issue tracking systems (Jira) and documentation tools (Confluence).
  

• Experience using test management solutions (e.g., TestRail) and virtual browser testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack).
  

• Working knowledge of SQL or Azure SQL databases for data verification and query execution.
  

• Awareness of CI/CD concepts (e.g., Azure DevOps) and enthusiasm for adopting automated testing and AI-assisted QA capabilities over time.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
