We are currently seeking a part-time remote QA/QC Geoscientist in Santiago, Chile to provide geological and technical support to the Veracio’s Operations team on Saturdays and Sundays. The role will involve reviewing, evaluating, and analyzing data generated by the Veracio’s scanning instruments, providing geological expertise and insights, and supporting project management across global operations. Role Purpose:
Responsible for ensuring the quality, integrity, and reliability of XRF and hyperspectral data through the implementation and monitoring of QA/QC processes, data validation, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor QA/QC protocols for XRF and hyperspectral data.
- Analyze, validate, and report data quality.
- Identify, investigate, track and resolve data issues, inconsistencies, and anomalies.
- Collaborate with technical and operational teams to ensure data supports business decisions.
- Prepare QA/QC reports and communicate findings and corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance on QA/QC procedures and best practices.
- Contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geochemistry and/or Geophysics
- Background and/or understanding of XRF or infrared spectroscopy related hardware and software
- Ability to work with and engage a diverse group of stakeholders
- Practical Proficiency in written and spoken English Preferred additional knowledge & Experience
- Proficient knowledge of Mineral systems
- Basic Python, R Studio, SQL knowledge
- Ability to adapt to new IT systems
- Geological Lab experience
- Ability to work with and engage a diverse group of stake holders
- Understanding of hard rock geochemistry and Ore deposit knowledge
- Mine site or Exploration related experience
- Experience and knowledge of Geological modeling software (Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac) Desirable Skills
