Welcome to IBG! IBG (Innovative Beauty Group) is a global one-stop beauty shop. By partnering with our clients as an extension of their teams, we bring beauty visions to life. IBG consists of more than 300 colleagues spread over 13 locations worldwide.

IBG North America specializes in turnkey solutions, private label and packaging in the beauty industry. Together, we are concept builders and boosters with global opportunities for well-known retailers and brands.

We're looking for a detail-oriented and collaborative QAR Specialist to join our North American team and play a critical role in ensuring the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance of products from concept through commercialization.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of quality assurance, regulatory compliance, product development, and manufacturing. You'll partner with cross-functional teams, global manufacturing partners, testing laboratories, and major retail and beauty brands to ensure products meet the highest standards for quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across Canada, the U.S., and other global markets. If you are naturally curious, highly organized, and passionate about beauty products, quality systems, and regulatory excellence, we'd love to hear from you.

This role is for an existing vacancy.

In this role, you will:

Quality & Regulatory Compliance

  • Review product specifications, ingredient information, labeling, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with Canadian, U.S., and applicable international regulations.

  • Support regulatory compliance activities, including Health Canada, FDA, and MOCRA requirements.

  • Monitor regulatory updates and communicate potential impacts to internal stakeholders.

  • Assist in preparing technical and compliance documentation for clients and internal teams.

Product Quality & Evaluation

  • Evaluate development, pre-production, and production samples to verify quality, performance, and compliance requirements.

  • Identify and document quality concerns, non-conformances, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support quality control programs and review inspection reports from manufacturing partners.

  • Track quality trends and escalate concerns when necessary.

Testing & Product Safety

  • Coordinate product testing with third-party laboratories and manufacturing partners.

  • Manage testing timelines, submissions, results, and documentation.

  • Review testing outcomes and support resolution of any compliance or quality issues.

  • Assist with safety assessments and specialized testing programs as required.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain organized and audit-ready quality and regulatory records.

  • Participate in cross-functional development and production meetings.

  • Support customer complaint investigations and corrective action processes.

  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in quality systems, processes, and documentation practices.

About you

  • Degree or diploma in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.

  • 1-3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Product Development, or a related role within cosmetics, beauty, personal care, consumer packaged goods, or a regulated industry.

  • Understanding of Canadian and U.S. cosmetic regulations, labeling requirements, and product compliance processes.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Experience working with testing laboratories and manufacturing partners.

  • Knowledge of Health Canada Cosmetic Regulations, FDA requirements, and MOCRA.

  • Experience in cosmetics, skincare, personal care, or consumer products.

  • Familiarity with GMP, ISO, BRCGS, or similar quality systems.

  • Strong Excel and documentation management skills.
