Job Description This is a remote position. Quality Assurance Analyst We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to support healthcare application initiatives within a provincial health services organization. The successful candidate will contribute to ensuring that applications used for program delivery across Regional Health Authorities and the Department of Health remain operational, maintained, enhanced, and optimized. This role will focus on evaluating quality through various methods and tools while working collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will take ownership of quality assurance deliverables, build and maintain test case repositories, and ensure applications meet defined scope and project requirements while maintaining compliance with government IT policies and security standards. The Quality Assurance Analyst 3ill be responsible for completing QA deliverables as defined in project and maintenance release plans, assisting business users in User Acceptance Testing, creating and maintaining performance testing initiatives, developing testing and defect reports, and performing gap analysis on project requirements. The role requires regular communication with project teams, participation in quality review sessions, and collaboration with IT resources during design, development, and implementation phases. The candidate will also support knowledge transfer to team members and assist in training new QA resources. Some after-hours and weekend work may be required, subject to advance approval. Qualifications - 10 years of demonstrated testing experience including functional, performance, connectivity, regression, integration, and automation testing - 10 years of demonstrated experience in quality assurance and system testing best practices and methodologies - 8 years of demonstrated experience in security relating to data confidentiality and client privacy as it pertains to databases and application design and development - University degree in Computer Science, Health Sciences, Business Administration, or similar discipline, or equivalent education and experience - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English - Available to start work within 2 weeks from the specified start date Nice to Have - 8 years of demonstrated proficiency in open source performance testing tools for web applications and web services like JMeter - 8 years of demonstrated advanced experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) in a QA environment - 8 years of demonstrated knowledge of Quality Assurance frameworks and experience with project methodologies such as Waterfall, Water Scrum, and Agile - 8 years of demonstrated experience with supporting the User Acceptance Testing process including working with Business Owners and execution of Test Cases and Scripts, Defect Reporting, and Resolution tracking - 8 years of demonstrated experience with HP Quality Center and HP WebInspect or similar products - 4 years of demonstrated experience with Automation Testing tools such as SOAPUI - 4 years of demonstrated experience in database upgrades and the use of database comparison tools such as SQL Data Examiner - 4 years of demonstrated experience working with Provincial Health Care and Electronic Health Records applications in a Canadian context
