Under general supervision, the Quality Assurance Analyst carries out established procedures to ensure programs/projects meet minimum company standards and end user requirements. The incumbent conducts thorough quality assurance tests on applications of small-to-medium complexity to ensure proper operation and freedom from defects. As the second level in the Quality Assurance job stream, the Quality Assurance Analyst is competent to work on most aspects of quality assurance testing but requires instruction and guidance in some areas.

How you will create impact:

• Create test strategy for small and medium projects.
• Participate in the creation of test strategies for larger projects.
• Plan system testing.
• Execute system testing according to plan.
• Coordinate and manage resolution of problems encountered in testing for small to medium size projects, working with developers and analysts.
• Create and maintain test case documentation, recording problems encountered during testing.
• Conducting walk-throughs of testing documentation for small-to-medium projects.
• Perform work-flow analysis of testing procedures and recommend quality improvements.

To join our team:

• Degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong ability to understand business processes and translate requirements into system and application needs.
• Knowledge of insurance principles, practices, and business processes is considered an asset.
• Proficiency with software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
• Intermediate proficiency in coding or scripting languages is required.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing, including UI and API testing.
• Experience performing quality assurance testing for web applications, including accessibility testing against WCAG 2.0 standards, is considered an asset.

Salary information​

Expected salary range $60,574 to $100,956

Salary placement​

The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.​
