Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for supporting the testing, validation, and quality assurance of OptimizeRx’s healthcare technology platforms. This role will help ensure that web applications, APIs, data workflows, campaign functionality, reporting tools, and healthcare engagement solutions meet business requirements, technical specifications, and quality expectations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced technology environment. This role will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Data, Client Success, and Technology teams to identify issues, document defects, validate fixes, and support reliable product releases for solutions used in the healthcare and pharmaceutical advertising industry. Key Responsibilities: Create, execute, and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test plans for web applications, APIs, data workflows, reporting tools, and platform features. Perform functional, regression, integration, user acceptance, API, database, and end-to-end testing throughout the software development lifecycle. Validate that product features and platform enhancements meet documented business requirements, acceptance criteria, technical specifications, and user expectations. Support testing for healthcare and pharmaceutical advertising workflows, including HCP and patient engagement use cases, campaign configuration, audience segmentation, targeting logic, reporting, and measurement. Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using established defect management tools and processes. Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to reproduce issues, clarify expected behavior, validate fixes, and confirm release readiness. Assist in defining test scenarios for automation and preparing documentation to support automated testing efforts. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Conduct database testing and data validation to help ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity. Perform API testing to validate request/response behavior, integrations, error handling, and backend functionality. Review business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical documentation to identify testing needs and potential quality risks. Prepare QA status updates, test execution summaries, defect reports, and release readiness documentation for stakeholders. Support business analysis activities by helping document problems, opportunities, requirements, workflows, and proposed solutions. Participate in cross-functional meetings to share testing findings, clarify requirements, and support product improvement efforts. Stay current on QA tools, testing methodologies, automation practices, and healthcare technology quality expectations. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation, test coverage, and release quality. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: 1–3 years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or a similar role. 1–3 years of hands-on experience testing web applications. 1–3 years of experience with database testing, data validation, or SQL-based testing. Basic understanding of APIs, backend systems, integrations, and software architecture. Experience creating and executing test cases, documenting defects, and validating software fixes. Experience working with Agile or Scrum software development teams. Familiarity with defect tracking, test management, or Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies, defects, usability issues, and data quality concerns. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to clearly document test results, defects, requirements, and QA findings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in English, written and spoken. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a remote, fast-paced environment.
