## About the Role


CGM is seeking a **Teamlead Quality Assurance (m/w/d)** to lead and strategically develop its team responsible for **manual QA and test automation**. You will provide both technical and disciplinary leadership while defining a forward-looking test automation strategy across the full testing lifecycle, from unit and integration testing through system, performance, and stress testing.


Working closely with Engineering and Product Management, you will balance delivery capability, quality, and risk while embedding **Shift-Left, Automation-First, and risk-based testing** into agile development processes. You will also contribute hands-on technical expertise to scalable test frameworks, test harnesses, CI/CD integrations, and AI-supported test automation.


## Key Responsibilities


- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership for the manual QA and test automation team.

- Strategically develop the QA team and its capabilities.

- Define and implement a future-oriented **test automation strategy** across all test levels.

- Cover testing from unit and integration tests through system, performance, and stress testing.

- Work with Engineering and Product Management to balance delivery capability, quality, and risk.

- Establish **Shift-Left, Automation-First, and risk-based testing** as integral parts of development processes.

- Apply technical expertise to the design and continuous improvement of scalable test frameworks, test harnesses, and CI/CD integrations.

- Drive **AI-supported test automation**, using tools such as Claude Code or comparable AI agents for test generation, maintenance, and triage.

- Establish reusable QA standards, skills, and workflows to make the QA setup more efficient, robust, and scalable.

- Develop team members and promote technical excellence.

- Contribute expertise to the company's QA community.


## Required Qualifications


- Successfully completed degree in **Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Informatics**, or a comparable technical field.

- Several years of experience leading teams in **QA and test automation**.

- Practical experience with **load, stress, and performance testing**.

- Strong technical expertise and practical experience in test automation.

- Ability to develop an experienced QA team both technically and personally.

- Good programming skills in at least one modern programming language, such as **C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript**.

- Experience systematically embedding software quality into **agile development processes**, including approaches such as Shift-Left, risk-based testing, and Automation-First.

- Confident communication skills in **German and English**, both written and spoken.

- Initiative, solution-oriented thinking, enthusiasm for innovation, and an entrepreneurial mindset.

- Strong quality awareness and understanding of the particular responsibility associated with **patient safety**.

## Education & Experience
