Quality Assurance Release Manager
Connect-AIQA & Release Manager
Remote – Eastern Europe | €58,000–€60,000
I'm working with an international SaaS business looking for an experienced QA & Release Manager to take ownership of quality and release delivery across its core software platform and enterprise client implementations.
This isn't a traditional Test Manager position.
They're looking for someone who can lead the QA & Release function strategically while remaining genuinely hands-on — someone comfortable developing a distributed team, defining standards and governance, but equally capable of getting involved in UAT, production deployments and complex client releases when required.
What you'll be doing
You'll own the QA and release lifecycle across multiple product and client streams, covering Test, UAT and Production.
You'll:
- Lead and develop a distributed QA & Release team.
- Own release strategy, governance, cadence and production sign-off.
- Coordinate releases across multiple parallel enterprise client environments.
- Plan and lead major client upgrades, including cutover, rollback and post-release validation.
- Drive QA standards, quality metrics and continuous improvement.
- Work directly with enterprise customers on requirements, release planning and senior escalations.
- Help shape test automation and its integration into CI/CD.
- Remain hands-on with UAT and production deployments when required.
- Work closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success and Implementation teams.
What we're looking for
You'll ideally bring:
- 7+ years in software QA/testing.
- At least 3 years in QA / Release leadership.
- Strong experience owning releases across Test, UAT and Production.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent customer or product release streams.
- Hands-on experience with production deployments and major platform upgrades.
- Strong external client/stakeholder management experience.
- Technical credibility around .NET/C#, Git and CI/CD.
- Experience with tooling such as TeamCity, Octopus Deploy and Bitbucket, or close equivalents.
- Automation experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar.
- API testing and SQL knowledge.
- Experience operating across international/distributed engineering teams.
Experience with CPQ, Salesforce, Dynamics, SAP/ERP integrations, ITIL or ISTQB would be particularly useful.

Distributed international engineering environment
Some weekend work will be required around releases.
If you've led QA teams but still enjoy being close to the engineering and release process, this is a particularly interesting opportunity to own a function rather than simply inherit one.
