Join our team as a Quality Assurance Specialist !

KVC Kansas | Full-Time | Topeka/ Hiawatha Kansas

The Quality Assurance is responsible for a broad and complex set of assignmentsfor the Hospital’s Compliance Department. They will perform advanced administrative duties and prioritize multiple responsibilitiesfor compiling, analyzing, and monitoring data.This position requires a high degree of discretion, judgment, tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality. The position will work closely with the hospital’ssenior leadership, physicians, clinicians, and frontline staff to improve clinical and business performance.

Hybrid work schedule: 4 days in-person, 1 day remote

Education and experience requirements:  

  • High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in a human service-related field preferred.
  • One to three years of related experience in gathering, analyzing, and reporting data. Like experience in children or family services preferred

Licensure & Certifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
  • All KVC Kansas employees must be at least 21 years of age.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience with children and family services preferred

What you will do: 

  • Quality & Compliance: Develop tracking systems for clinical benchmarks, monitor improvement initiatives, manage HBIPPS indicators for Joint Commission standards, and assist with regulatory audits.
  • Reporting: Compile data and submit month-end reports, communicating all findings and trends to leadership.
  • Committees: Participate in assigned committees (Medical Management, P&T, Performance Improvement) and record meeting minutes.
  • Training: Manage the online learning platform, facilitate new hire orientation, and report on training deficiencies.
  • Operations: Maintain health information systems, provide medical records coverage as needed, and adhere to HIPAA/confidentiality policies.
  • Professionalism: Maintain respectful conduct toward all colleagues and stakeholders regardless of identity, background, or beliefs.
