Quality Assurance Tester

Role Description This full-time Quality Assurance Tester role at InnovaPlay is a hybrid position based in Msida, with some flexibility for work from home. The Quality Assurance Tester is responsible for planning and executing test activities across web and mobile game products, following defined test plans and standards. Day-to-day tasks include creating and maintaining test cases, performing manual testing, logging defects, and verifying fixes to ensure a consistent and high-quality user experience. The role involves collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and designers to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, and provide clear feedback on product quality. The Quality Assurance Tester also contributes to process improvements, test documentation, and release readiness checks.
Qualifications

• Strong Quality Assurance fundamentals, including understanding of QA processes, defect life cycle, and testing best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Test Execution and Manual Testing, including running test plans and documenting results.
• Ability to design, document, and maintain clear and structured Test Cases based on requirements and user scenarios.
• Excellent Analytical Skills for identifying root causes, recognizing patterns in defects, and interpreting test data.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple test tasks and deadlines.
• Comfort working in a hybrid environment, with effective communication and collaboration in both in-office and remote settings.
• Familiarity with issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and basic understanding of software development lifecycles.
• Experience in testing games or interactive applications is an asset.
• Relevant certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or equivalent practical experience is beneficial.
