Company: Delvee
Location: Remote (Preference for Eastern Europe or LATAM)
Employment Type: Full-time
About DelveeAt Delvee, we build privacy-first, high-performance platforms that support seamless streaming media, real-time live chat, and secure e-commerce. Our systems are designed to handle massive scale, high concurrency, and strict data privacy requirements. While our core technology currently powers high traffic consumer platforms, we are actively expanding our architecture to support heavily regulated industries.
We are an AI-forward engineering team. We believe in maximizing leverage by using AI tools to draft test plans, generate exhaustive edge-case scenarios, and create complex synthetic test data. However, AI cannot feel the end-user experience, spot subtle UI regressions, or replace human intuition. We are looking for a Manual QA Tester / Quality Analyst who can orchestrate AI tools to generate massive test coverage and act as the ultimate human proxy for quality, usability, and reliability.
The RoleAs a Manual QA Tester at Delvee, your day-to-day will focus less on manually typing out thousands of test cases from scratch, and more on high-level test strategy, exploratory testing, user-journey validation, and leveraging AI to amplify your coverage. You will be the human brain and eyes behind our testing strategy, ensuring that every user experience—from video streaming playback to live chat and checkout flows—is smooth, secure, and bug-free.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exploratory & Functional Testing: Perform deep, creative exploratory testing across our high-demand video streaming, real-time live chat, and secure e-commerce platforms.
- AI Orchestration for QA: Utilize advanced AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) to rapidly generate test matrices, edge-case scenarios, synthetic user data, and comprehensive test documentation in seconds.
- API & Cross-Stack Verification: Manually test and inspect APIs and backend behavior using tools like Postman, Insomnia, and browser DevTools across our modern stack (Next.js, React, Node, Encore) and legacy systems (Vue 3, PHP).
- Bug Reporting & Gatekeeping: Uncover hard-to-find edge cases, write clear and reproducible bug reports with technical context (console logs, network payloads), and verify fixes before production releases.
- Privacy & UX Defense: Act as the final line of defense for user privacy, ensuring data handling standards, compliance, and payment security are never compromised.
- Process Leadership: Collaborate closely with developers and SDETs to refine user stories, define clear acceptance criteria, and elevate quality standards across the team.
- Be a Guardian: Take responsibility for and be a key approver of releases while managing regressions.
What We’re Looking For- Experience: 3–5+ years of manual software testing experience on complex, high-traffic web applications.
- Technical QA Skills: Proficiency using Browser Developer Tools (Network tab, Console, Storage inspection) and API testing tools (Postman, cURL) to diagnose root causes rather than just reporting surface-level bugs.
- Stack Awareness: Ability to comfortably test across diverse frontend and backend systems (React, Next.js, Vue 3, PHP, Node.js, REST/WebSocket APIs).
- AI Fluency: Proven ability to integrate AI tools into your daily QA workflow to generate test plans, brainstorm edge cases, and write detailed bug descriptions.
- Eye for Detail: An obsessive focus on usability, layout shifts, edge-case workflows, low-bandwidth conditions, and unexpected user behavior.
- Communication: Clear, concise written and verbal English skills to articulate technical bugs and push back when quality standards aren't met.
Why Join Us?- Compensation: $30,000- $45,000 USD annually, depending on experience.
- PTO and Sick time:
- Up to 11 Paid public holidays (Depending on location)
- 24 paid vacation days per year (at a rate of 2 days/month accrual)
- 6 paid sick days per year (or more if required in your location)
- Work at the cutting edge of AI-assisted QA and test strategy.
- Tackle complex real-time streaming, chat, and privacy challenges.
- Fully remote flexibility.
How to ApplyWe heavily utilize and value AI tools in our day-to-day work, but we need to hire the human to drive them. To ensure you are a human reading this—and not an automated mass-application bot—please begin your cover letter or introductory message with the exact phrase: "I am the human orchestrator." Following this, please include one sentence telling us about your favorite non-screen-related hobby. Applications missing this exact phrase will be automatically filtered out.
