Company Description Rha Commercial® is an independent construction and infrastructure consultancy providing commercial management, quantity surveying, and advisory services across rail, infrastructure, energy, and civil engineering sectors. Regulated by RICS, the firm supports contractors, subcontractors, and client organizations with practical commercial advice that strengthens governance, manages risk, and improves project outcomes. With extensive experience in NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, Rha Commercial® helps clients develop robust commercial strategies, maintain contractual compliance, and enhance commercial performance throughout the project lifecycle. Services include commercial management, quantity surveying, estimating and tender support, NEC contract administration, procurement and commercial strategy, project delivery support, and dispute avoidance and commercial advisory. The team combines technical expertise with practical insight to help organizations deliver projects with confidence, control costs, manage risk, and achieve successful outcomes.

Role Description This is a full-time Quantity Surveyor role based in Bridgend with a hybrid working arrangement, allowing some work from home. The Quantity Surveyor will manage cost planning, cost control, and cost reporting across construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring accurate forecasting and alignment with contract requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), supporting tender preparation and evaluation, monitoring project budgets, and producing regular commercial reports. The role involves working with NEC contracts, supporting procurement activities, assessing valuations, variations, and compensation events, and contributing to dispute avoidance through clear documentation and commercial advice. The Quantity Surveyor will collaborate with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners to support robust commercial governance and effective project delivery.

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present commercial information clearly and work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Organized and self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects in a hybrid working environment and maintain high standards of professional integrity.
  • Experience in rail, infrastructure, energy, or civil engineering sectors is beneficial, along with a commitment to continuous professional development.
