Join a company that's reintroducing itself to the aviation community we've helped advance for more than a century. At Honeywell Aerospace (NASDAQ: HONA), we're launching as an independent, publicly traded aerospace and defense company built on a legacy of operational excellence and mission-focused execution.
Our new brand identity pairs that heritage with real momentum, as we build technology that helps pilots navigate with confidence, aircraft operate more efficiently, and operators stay ahead of change. With our systems on board 90% of the world's aircraft, your work here has reach that's rare to find anywhere else.
Focusing on our customers, investing in innovation, and building a culture of accountability and performance is how we're shaping what comes next.
Every horizon. Every mission. Every day.
You will lead the successful execution of Radar signal processing, modes, and software function throughout Radar development programs, including weather signal processing, waveform design and implementation, embedded radar software, software architecture, and future multi-mode radar capability development. Working with the PI, and other system leads, this role establishes the technical approach and software capabilities for radar prototypes. Candidates should have demonstrated hands-on technical leadership of end-to-end radar signal processing, modes, and software development from concept through integrated prototype demonstration.
Key Technical Skills and Experience
- Radar system architecture and implementation: hands-on experience defining and developing radar system architectures, including radar subsystems, functional allocation, interfaces, data flows, hardware/software partitioning, and the physical hardware and processing needed to realize an integrated radar system.
- Radar mode development and management: hands-on development of radar modes from operational needs through mode definition, processing, resource needs, implementation, and integration.
- Radar waveform design, scan strategy, and resource management: design and optimization of radar waveforms, PRFs, bandwidths, timing, ambiguity, Doppler considerations, beam/scan strategies, dwell, revisit/update rates, coverage, and allocation of radar resources across modes.
- Radar signal processing and algorithm development: hands-on development of range/Doppler processing, detection, CFAR, beamforming, angle estimation, clutter suppression, tracking, and other advanced radar processing, including implementation and optimization for real-time radar systems.
- Radar modeling, simulation, and data analysis: hands-on development and use of MATLAB, Python, or similar tools for radar architecture, waveform and algorithm development, performance modeling, and analysis of measured radar data.
- Radar system/subsystem prototyping: demonstrated experience taking radar concepts, architectures, modes, waveforms, and algorithms beyond analysis and simulation into functional hardware prototypes or demonstrators.
