About The Role

This interim Raw and Packaging Planner role sits with Manpower UK, supporting a global FMCG client in Seacroft, Leeds. Working full time, 37.5 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, over a twelve-month temporary contract, the position pays up to £36,260.80 annually, pro rata, dependent on experience, with hybrid remote and onsite arrangements. Duties include coordinating material sourcing, overseeing finished goods manufacture, managing delivery to customers, and maintaining inventory levels across the supply chain. Applicants should demonstrate strong planning abilities, supplier liaison skills, and proficiency with relevant systems. The successful candidate will join the SU Logistics Team, ensuring stock availability and smooth operational flow throughout the assignment.

We are currently seeking an interim Raw andamp; Packaging Planner, to work with our global FMCG client U/L, renowned for brands, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based in Seacroft, Leeds. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 12 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to £36,260.80 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

Brief Description

The SU Logistics Team co-ordinate the sourcing of materials, the manufacture of finished goods and the delivery to our customers, as well as holding responsibility for the material and finished goods inventory.

Purpose: As part of the Supply process the purpose of this role is to cost-effectively ensure 100% availability of materials to the production lines to ensure Customer Service whilst balancing cost and inventory.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all materials are available to meet agreed production plans whilst maintaining stocks within agreed company targets.
  • Examines material schedules, reviews orders and call-offs, and brings any issues to the attention of the Demand Planner/Scheduler.
  • Negotiates short notice/urgent requirements with Suppliers, Warehouse and Security.
  • Proactively negotiates, observe and maintains information flow between suppliers and Sourcing Unit personnel to maintain a responsive supply chain.
  • Adherence to the weekly IVMI (Internal Vendor Managed Inventory) process, identify improvement areas.
  • Work closely with suppliers and obsolete planner to ensure minimal obsolete.
  • Keeps suppliers regularly informed about delists and removing stock build targets to avoid obsolete materials after last productions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Service - Ensure world class customer service from the Leeds SU.
  • VR (Volume Reliability)/OR (Order Reliability) - Ensure material availability t support volume out output reliability of the SU
  • Cost - Minimize OLE impacts to site and minimize business waste
  • Cash - Adhere to RPM inventory glidepath
  • Quality - Ensure product changes happen in coordinated manner to avoid quality issues

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Experience in planning (preferably Randamp;P planning)
  • SAP (S1P) advanced knowledge
