R&D Finance Manager

About the Role Abnormal AI is hiring a Financial Analyst, Marketing to join our FP&A team. This role will act as a key financial partner to the Marketing team, driving budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to optimize marketing investments and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has a strong finance background in FP&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or Consulting, with expertise in financial modeling, scenario planning, and business partnership. What You Will Do Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for marketing headcount and operational expenses Analyze complex datasets to develop scalable reporting solutions for Marketing month-end close, Budget-vs-Actuals variance analysis, and insight-driven forecasting. Develop scenario-based financial models to assess marketing investments, ROI, and performance trends. Partner with Marketing Operations and Strategy & Analytics teams to align financial plans with GTM initiatives and revenue growth strategies. Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to FP&A & GTM senior leadership Leverage AI, automation, and analytics tools to enhance forecasting accuracy and financial reporting. Identify cost optimization opportunities and support strategic resource allocation. Must Haves 2-4 years FP&A experience, ideally including GTM Finance Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and scenario planning skills. Experience partnering with marketing or GTM teams to support business growth. Proven ability to influence senior executives through clear, data-backed recommendations. Familiarity with AI, automation, and financial analytics tools to drive efficiency. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
