Job Title: R&D Member of Technical Staff - II, Technical Writing Location: Bengaluru, India – Hybrid Employment Type: Full-time regular (flexible working options available The job As part of our global technical writing group, you’ll collaborate with one or more teams of skilled software engineers from our global research & development group in writing and publishing technical documentation and associated content for our products and solutions. You’ll help us research and transform complex technical concepts, specifications, and procedures into user-oriented information for non-technical and technical audiences for developing high-quality software documentation that meets user needs. Key responsibilities - Learn complex work from self-learning, training, and shadowing seniors - Work under minimal supervision on advanced, unstructured, and complex work - Improve the quality of content, adhere to the established standards and guidelines, and deliver on time - Design, develop, review, and publish high-quality technical documentation Essential requirements - Experience in working with products and solutions in industrial software - Experience in working with global agile and DevOps teams - Experience in working with Author-it Cloud and Microsoft Azure Desired skills and competencies - Master’s or bachelor's degree in English, Computer Science, or Engineering - 3-5 years of experience in technical writing and documentation development - Knowledge of software product development and cloud computing services - Competent at concepts, processes, and tools of technical writing and information development - Competent in using productivity tools from Microsoft and content management tools from Adobe - Competent at DITA, structured authoring, and component content management systems - Competent in using tools for screen capturing and recording and audio and video editing R&D at AVEVA Our global team of 2000+ developers work on an incredibly diverse portfolio of over 75 industrial automation and engineering products, which cover everything from data management to 3D design.
