Real Estate Financial and Accounting Support Analyst

Senior Associate

The Real Estate Financial & Accounting Support Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis, underwriting support, accounting support, reporting, and administrative assistance to the Investments, Development, Asset Management, and Accounting teams. This role supports commercial real estate acquisitions, development projects, financing activities, portfolio reporting, market research, and property-level accounting processes. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical and financial modeling skills, advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities, and working knowledge of commercial real estate finance and accounting. This position works closely with U.S.-based stakeholders and is responsible for producing accurate, well-documented, and timely work products while maintaining established review and control procedures.

Key Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Underwriting Support • Assist in preparing, updating, and validating acquisition and development financial models. • Maintain sources and uses schedules, development budgets, cash flow projections, financing assumptions, and investment return analyses. • Prepare variance analyses, assumption summaries, and supporting schedules. • Compile, reconcile, and validate underwriting data from multiple sources. Acquisition & Due Diligence Support • Maintain acquisition, financing, and due diligence trackers. • Organize and summarize information from leases, contracts, loan documents, title reports, and related transaction documents. • Prepare lender and investor reporting packages and closing support documentation. • Track open items and coordinate document collection and follow-up activities. Development & Portfolio Reporting • Maintain project budgets, commitment logs, draw schedules, invoice trackers, and milestone reports. • Prepare recurring project and portfolio performance reports. • Support development and lease-up reporting activities. Market Research & Investment Reporting • Conduct market, demographic, rental rate, and comparable property research. • Maintain research databases and source documentation. • Assist in preparing investment memoranda, presentations, and portfolio reports. Accounting & Financial Support • Assist with reconciliations, invoice support, reporting schedules, and budget-to-actual analyses. • Support month-end and year-end accounting processes. • Maintain organized financial documentation and audit support schedules. • Reconcile development and property management information with accounting records. Process & Systems Support • Maintain data integrity, reporting documentation, and version control. • Utilize Microsoft 365 and approved analytical tools. • Support process improvement initiatives, templates, dashboards, and standard operating procedures. • Ensure all work is accurate, documented, and audit-ready.

Non-Negotiable Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or related

field.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:

o Financial modeling

o Lookups

o Pivot tables

o Data reconciliation

o Sensitivity analysis

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

• Experience preparing financial reports, schedules, and analyses.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Ability to work with overlapping U.S. business hours.

• 2+ years of experience in:

o Real estate financial analysis

o Commercial real estate underwriting

o Development support

o Property accounting

o Financial outsourcing services

• Experience with commercial real estate acquisitions and development projects.

• Working knowledge of:

o IRR

o Equity Multiple

o Cap Rates

o Loan-to-Cost (LTC)

o Loan-to-Value (LTV)

o Debt Service Coverage Ratio (DSCR)

• Experience with property-level accounting and financial reporting.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity and data analysis tools.

• Experience supporting U.S.-based real estate investment, development, asset management,

or accounting teams.

• Experience with investment reporting and market research.
