Job Title: Recruiter (Light Industrial) Job Description This contract recruiter role focuses on high-volume hiring for light industrial, warehouse, and manufacturing positions over a 5–6 month period. The recruiter works a hybrid schedule, supporting full-cycle recruiting activities for multiple openings simultaneously, and partners closely with hiring leaders to quickly fill roles during peak seasons. The position requires consistent 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST hours Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility to work until 6:00 p.m. EST to manage increased requisition volume. Responsibilities Manage a high-volume requisition load of approximately 20–25 open positions at any given time. Recruit for light industrial and warehouse skill sets, including machine operators, warehouse associates, forklift operators, shipping personnel, customer service staff, scale operators, and other similar roles. Conduct requisition intake meetings with hiring managers to understand role requirements, timelines, and candidate profiles. Communicate clearly and consistently with leadership and hiring managers to provide updates on recruiting progress and candidate pipelines. Source qualified candidates using platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, job boards, and the internal applicant tracking system (ATS). Perform full-cycle recruiting activities, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating onsite interviews. Screen candidates to assess fit for specific light industrial positions and schedule them for onsite interviews with hiring managers. Turn requisitions around quickly by proactively managing pipelines and moving candidates efficiently through the hiring process. Maintain accurate documentation of recruiting activities and candidate information in the ATS and other tracking tools. Meet performance metrics and expectations related to requisition management, time-to-fill, communication, and documentation quality. Essential Skills At least 2 recent years of experience recruiting for light industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing roles. Proven ability to manage 20 or more requisitions at one time while maintaining quality and timeliness. Demonstrated success in full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and offer support. Experience recruiting light industrial skill sets such as warehouse associates, machine operators, forklift operators, and material handlers in recent roles. Experience in Manufacturing, Distribution, or Agency recruiting environments. Strong talent acquisition and recruitment skills, with a focus on high-volume hiring. Ability to quickly turn requisitions into hires by managing candidate pipelines efficiently. Effective verbal and written communication skills for partnering with leaders and hiring managers. Proficiency using job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, and internal applicant tracking systems for sourcing and candidate management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in fast-paced environments with peak hiring seasons and fluctuating requisition volumes. Comfort with hybrid work arrangements and the ability to maintain productivity both onsite and remotely. Strong organizational skills to prioritize multiple openings and deadlines simultaneously. Attention to detail in documentation, candidate records, and communication with stakeholders. Ability to build relationships with hiring managers and act as a consultative partner on hiring needs. Adaptability to adjust hours occasionally to support high-volume recruiting demands. Work Environment The role operates in a hybrid work environment that combines onsite and remote work. After training and once performance metrics, communication, and documentation expectations are consistently met, the recruiter is expected to work onsite three days per week, Monday through Wednesday, and remotely on Thursday and Friday. Standard hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CST, Monday through Friday, with occasional extensions to 6:00 p.m. EST during peak recruiting periods. The recruiter uses common recruiting technologies, including job boards, LinkedIn, Indeed, and an internal applicant tracking system, and collaborates regularly with hiring managers and leadership in a professional office setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Arcola, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
