Job Description: Forge Group, LLC is seeking an experienced full lifecycle Recruiter to support a growing government contracting organization. The role will manage the full recruiting lifecycle for a variety of professional and technical positions. This role will partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to understand workforce needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, source and evaluate candidates, and facilitate the hiring process from requisition through offer letter. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable with the operational, administrative, and compliance aspects of recruiting-including requisition management, applicant tracking, candidate documentation, dispositions, and ensuring recruiting activities are conducted consistently and in accordance with company and applicable regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is an experienced recruiter who can operate independently, exercise sound judgment, build strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates, and maintain a high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced GovCon environment. This position provides the opportunity to support a growing organization with a strong team and collaborative culture, and the ability to make a direct impact on the candidate experience and business operations.
Key Responsibilities: Key responsibilities of the candidate will be (but aren't limited to):
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle from requisition and proposal support to offer acceptance and onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers and directors to understand position requirements, develop recruiting strategies, and establish realistic hiring timelines.
- Source and attract qualified candidates through job boards, professional networks, social media, referrals, networking, and other recruiting channels.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and anticipated hiring needs.
- Conduct thorough candidate screening and interviews to assess qualifications, experience, technical skills, cultural alignment, and overall match for the position.
- Develop a strong understanding of Forge's clients, mission, technical and functional positions and the qualifications required to successfully recruit for positions.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates throughout the recruiting process and provide a positive candidate experience.
- Coordinate interviews and facilitate timely feedback and decision-making with hiring managers.
- Create, maintain, and close job requisitions in the applicant tracking system.
- Monitor open requisitions and proactively communicate status, challenges, and hiring needs to hiring managers
- Maintain recruiting practices that support Forge's equal employment opportunity and applicable federal contractor obligations, including multi-state compliance requirements.
- Ensure applicant records and recruiting documentation are complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with applicable recordkeeping requirements.
- Properly disposition candidates who are no longer under consideration and ensure dispositions accurately reflect the reason for non-selection.
- Partner with HR team to identify and resolve discrepancies or compliance concerns related to requisitions, candidate qualifications, applicant records, or selection processes.
- Support reporting, audits, and other HR compliance activities related to recruiting and employment activity as needed.
- Develop effective methods for evaluating whether candidates possess the skills, experience, and qualifications represented on their resumes and during interviews.
- Extend offers and coordinate the pre-employment process in partnership with HR and Security, as needed.
- Provide general support to the HR and Operations team, as needed
Qualifications/Requirements:
The Candidate must have the ability to think strategically, act tactically, and display strong analytical and critical thinking skills. They must also build strong cross-group working relationships and demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail. The Candidate must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities.
- 7+ years of recruiting experience preferably in the government contracting environment
- Strong knowledge of recruiting compliance, applicant tracking, candidate dispositions, and hiring decision making
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and requisitions while meeting hiring deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate candidates against job requirements and identify discrepancies or gaps in qualifications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with all candidates and leadership
Minimum Qualifications:
- US Citizen
- 7+ years of recruiting experience preferably in the government contracting environment
- Strong knowledge of recruiting compliance, applicant tracking, candidate dispositions, and hiring decision making
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and requisitions while meeting hiring deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate candidates against job requirements and identify discrepancies or gaps in qualifications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with all candidates and leadership.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in the government contracting (GovCon) industry
- Experience using isolved Hire or similar applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Familiarity with multi-state employment compliance
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or other relevant HR/recruiting certification
