About the Company:
Octave is a modern behavioral health practice creating a new standard for care delivery that’s both high-quality and accessible. With in-person and virtual clinics in multiple states, the company offers evidence-based individual, couples, and family therapy, while pioneering relationships with payers to make care more affordable through insurance. By raising the bar on how care is delivered and how providers are supported, we are building a sustainable system that values equity, affordability, and effectiveness.
Job Summary:
As a Clinical Recruiter, you’ll play a key role in growing Octave’s network of licensed clinicians across multiple markets. This is a sourcing-focused role for a recruiter who knows how to find and engage specialized talent, build strong pipelines, and adjust their approach when traditional sourcing strategies aren’t enough. You’ll own recruiting outcomes across assigned markets, using pipeline data, market insights, AI, and recruiting technology to identify opportunities and continuously improve your approach. You’ll manage clinicians throughout the recruiting process while creating a thoughtful, high-quality candidate experience and clearly communicating what makes practicing with Octave unique.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Own recruiting strategy and pipeline health across assigned markets, proactively identifying gaps and adjusting sourcing and engagement strategies to meet clinician hiring targets
- Manage the clinician recruiting lifecycle from proactive sourcing and initial engagement through assessment and hire, delivering a consistent and high-quality candidate experience throughout the process
- Build and maintain pipelines of licensed clinicians through proactive sourcing, targeted outreach, referrals, talent mapping, candidate re-engagement, and AI-assisted sourcing strategies, with a particular focus on competitive and hard-to-fill markets
- Develop creative sourcing approaches when traditional channels are not producing results, testing new talent pools, search strategies, messaging, tools, and channels to reach qualified clinicians
- Use recruiting data, AI-powered insights, market intelligence, and industry trends to evaluate pipeline performance, diagnose challenges, and make informed adjustments to recruiting strategy
- Provide a high-touch, relationship-driven candidate experience, building trust and clearly communicating Octave’s clinical model, opportunities, and value proposition
- Independently manage competing priorities, pipelines, and recruiting targets across multiple markets, maintaining strong follow-through while adapting quickly as hiring needs shift
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to stay informed of evolving provider needs and translate those needs into effective sourcing and recruiting strategies
- Leverage AI, automation, and recruiting technology as a core part of daily work to improve sourcing, research, outreach, interview preparation, workflow efficiency, and decision-making
- Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting processes and workflows, experimenting with new technology, AI-enabled solutions, and approaches that increase efficiency and hiring outcomes
- Contribute to Octave’s employer brand through thoughtful candidate engagement, personalized outreach, and consistent representation of the organization in the talent market
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to build and execute proactive sourcing strategies for passive talent, including targeted outreach, talent mapping, Boolean search, referrals, and creative sourcing approaches
- Strong sourcing instincts and ability to identify qualified talent in competitive or hard-to-fill markets beyond inbound applicant flow
- Ability to independently assess pipeline health, identify gaps and trends, and adjust sourcing and engagement strategies based on data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create personalized, compelling candidate outreach
- Ability to manage multiple markets, pipelines, and hiring targets simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, and recruiting technology
- Comfort using AI tools as part of day-to-day recruiting work, including sourcing, research, outreach, workflow efficiency, and problem-solving
- Curiosity and willingness to experiment with AI, automation, new sourcing channels, and emerging recruiting technology to continuously improve how work gets done
Education & Experience:
- 2+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high-volume and/or target-driven recruiting environment
- 1+ years of experience recruiting licensed clinicians, healthcare professionals, or similarly specialized talent
- Demonstrated success proactively sourcing and engaging passive candidates in competitive or hard-to-fill talent markets
- Hands-on experience with advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, social platforms, talent mapping, targeted outreach, and candidate re-engagement
- Experience independently managing multiple recruiting pipelines, markets, or hiring targets simultaneously
- Experience using recruiting data, pipeline metrics, and technology to evaluate performance and adjust recruiting strategy
- Experience incorporating AI-enabled tools into recruiting workflows is preferred
