Role Description This is a full-time remote role for Recruiting Medical Interpreters (Remote Medical Interpreters) for OPI (Over-the-Phone Interpretation) and VRI (Video Remote Interpretation) in Spanish-English. The role involves sourcing, screening, and onboarding qualified medical interpreters, ensuring they meet professional standards and language proficiency requirements. Day-to-day tasks include conducting interviews, evaluating interpreting skills, coordinating training through the company’s web-based platform, and maintaining accurate records in the Language Management System. The position also includes collaborating with operations and quality assurance teams to align staffing needs with service demand, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting interpreters with guidance on procedures and best practices. The role requires consistent communication via phone, email, and virtual meetings to ensure adequate coverage for medical interpretation services and to uphold confidentiality and compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications

• Strong skills in Medical Interpretation and Interpreting, with a focus on Spanish-English communication in healthcare settings.
• Proficiency in Medical Terminology relevant to clinical encounters, diagnostics, and treatment plans.
• Experience or training in Simultaneous Interpretation and consecutive interpretation techniques.
• Ability to understand and support Translation processes associated with medical documentation and related materials.
• Fluency in Spanish and English, with excellent listening, speaking, and writing skills in both languages.
• Previous experience recruiting, coordinating, or managing interpreters or language professionals is highly beneficial.
• Knowledge of confidentiality standards, data protection practices, and regulations related to medical information (e.g., HIPAA or equivalent).
• Comfort with cloud-based systems, CRM tools, and web-based training platforms; strong general computer literacy.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Relevant education or certification in interpretation, translation, linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
