  • Based in Petone, Wellington
  • Hybrid role - work from home opportunities
  • Friendly, down-to-earth team

Please note this role is based in Wellington. We're looking for someone who can find and engage great people to work across Wellington, Northland and part of South Auckland- if you have the energy and the smarts- we can teach you the rest.

Spectrum Care in Wellington supports over well over 100 adults and children with disabilities. Over the next year we are expecting to grow even more and we need help to find awesome staff.

We're looking for someone dynamic and engaged who will bring ideas on how to connect with potential staff members, show them how rewarding this work is, someone who will take care of our applicants and offer them a fantastic customer experience during the recruitment process. We need someone that either has familiarity with or a willingness to learn end to end recruitment, from listing job ads, progressing applications, arranging interviews through to offer.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • 360 recruitment, using our applicant tracking system,SnapHire including advertising, shortlisting, arranging interviews, police vetting, offer and induction.
  • Build the skills and knowledge of hiring managers to support their compliance with policy and legal requirements and enhance their capability to recruit staff
  • Prepare employment agreements and conduct onboarding activities with new staff as may be required
  • Manage vacancy and applicant databases
  • Leveraging social media and coordinating promotional and marketing events.
  • Contribute to the development of recruitment-related policy and procedures and workforce strategies

What's most important to us is that you have the right qualities as a person- if you are highly organised and self-motivated, we can teach you the systems. You need to be willing to spend some time with the people we support and staff so you get an accurate picture of the type of staff we want to attract. And, you'll have the confidence to get out there in front of new 'audiences' like schools, universities and job fairs- alongside our team of course- to tell our story and attract some really special applicants.

Being proactive is an essential attribute because we can't rely solely on traditional recruitment methods. This is a busy role but your efforts will make a huge difference for New Zealanders with disabilities and their whānau.

If you're thinking 'I wonder if this is for me?' then this is what you should do: watch the video attached and read the position description. Call our Recruitment Lead, Sheaam for an informal chat on 027 2778741, and if it still sounds interesting, we can arrange a visit for you.

The Spectrum Group is dedicated to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We actively encourage and support applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds, including those with disabilities and neurodivergent individuals.
