Red Team Professional (Senior/Mid-Level)

Role Description The Red Team Professional (Senior/Mid-Level) will design and execute realistic attack simulations to assess the effectiveness of client security controls and incident response capabilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and conducting penetration tests, adversary emulation, social engineering campaigns, and post-engagement reporting with clear technical and business-oriented recommendations. The role involves collaborating with blue teams and client stakeholders to provide feedback, support remediation efforts, and contribute to the development of internal tools, methodologies, and playbooks. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Istanbul, with a mix of on-site collaboration and some work-from-home flexibility.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in offensive security, including penetration testing, red teaming methodologies, and adversary emulation.
• Hands-on experience with common security tools and frameworks (e.g., Kali Linux, C2 frameworks, exploit frameworks, vulnerability scanners).
• Solid understanding of networks, operating systems (Windows, Linux), web applications, and cloud or containerized environments.
• Ability to produce clear technical reports and concise executive summaries, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with social engineering techniques and threat modeling is highly beneficial.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSWA, OSEP, CRTO, CISSP, or equivalent practical experience are preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team, maintain ethical standards, and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Turkish and experience working with local or regional organizations is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
