At Fresh Start in Education, we’re looking for a compassionate and organised Referrals Coordinator & Education/IEEP Assessor to help young people with additional needs access the right educational support. You’ll coordinate referrals, assess individual needs and work closely with students, families and professionals to develop personalised Impact, Engagement & Education Plans (IEEPs) and arrange suitable educational placements.

You’ll coordinate referrals, assess individual needs and work closely with students, families and professionals to develop personalised Impact, Engagement & Education Plans (IEEPs) and arrange suitable educational placements.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing referrals from schools, local authorities and families.
- Assessing students' needs, strengths and interests.
- Creating personalised Impact, Engagement & Education Plans (IEEPs).
- Coordinating suitable educational placements and timetables.
- Producing assessment reports and risk assessments.
- Meeting with families, schools and professionals (both online and in person).
- Maintaining accurate records and prioritising your caseload.
- Promoting safeguarding and student wellbeing at every stage.
Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or additional needs.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and educational support strategies.
- Experience with EHCPs, risk assessments and other education documents
- Excellent communication, organisation and report-writing skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently and collaboratively.
- A compassionate, proactive and solution-focused approach.
