Job Title: Refrigeration / HVAC Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Commercial Refrigeration Technician with experience in light commercial HVAC systems to service, troubleshoot, and repair refrigeration units at Chevron Gas Stations & Convenience Stores. Responsibilities Service and repair walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-in refrigeration units, and remote refrigeration systems. Troubleshoot and repair rooftop units and conventional heat pumps. Diagnose and repair self-contained and remote refrigeration systems. Perform electrical troubleshooting, refrigerant recovery/charging, leak detection, and brazing. Read wiring diagrams and independently troubleshoot equipment. Prepare repair recommendations and complete service documentation. Participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime as needed. Essential Skills Strong experience with walk-in and reach-in coolers/freezers. Experience with rooftop units, split systems, and packaged HVAC equipment. EPA 608 Certification. Valid driver's license. Strong communication, customer service, and documentation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with True Refrigeration, Heatcraft, Beverage-Air, or similar commercial refrigeration equipment. Familiarity with medium- and low-temperature refrigeration systems. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with customers and team members. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
