The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Regional Account Manager to manage and grow a portfolio of customers across an assigned geographic region.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategic customer relationships, protecting existing revenue, identifying growth opportunities, coordinating customer requirements, managing commercial activities, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute regional account-management strategies aligned with commercial objectives.
- Manage a portfolio of customers across assigned markets, territories, or geographic regions.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
- Serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned strategic and regional accounts.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer businesses, objectives, challenges, requirements, and buying processes.
- Identify customer priorities and translate them into appropriate products, services, and commercial solutions.
- Develop account plans covering revenue, retention, expansion, relationship development, risks, and strategic priorities.
- Establish customer engagement plans based on account potential, business needs, and relationship maturity.
- Conduct regular business reviews with customers and key stakeholders.
- Prepare account presentations, performance reviews, proposals, and strategic recommendations.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, service performance, commercial results, and relationship health.
- Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, renewals, expansions, and additional services.
- Develop and manage account pipelines across the assigned region.
- Qualify new opportunities and coordinate appropriate internal resources.
- Develop opportunity strategies, sales plans, value propositions, and engagement approaches.
- Lead or support commercial negotiations with customers.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, tenders, contracts, pricing submissions, and commercial documentation.
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, Procurement, Operations, and other functions during commercial negotiations.
- Ensure commercial agreements reflect approved pricing, terms, service requirements, and risk controls.
- Monitor contract performance, renewals, amendments, and customer commitments.
- Identify renewal risks and develop proactive retention strategies.
- Monitor customer usage, purchasing patterns, service requirements, and account performance.
- Analyze account profitability, revenue, margins, pricing, costs, and commercial opportunities.
- Develop regional sales forecasts and maintain accurate opportunity information.
- Maintain accurate customer, contact, opportunity, activity, and account information in CRM systems.
- Monitor pipeline coverage, opportunity stages, sales cycles, win rates, and forecast accuracy.
- Identify changes in customer requirements, market conditions, competitive activity, and regional opportunities.
- Conduct account and market research to identify new business opportunities.
- Monitor competitor activities, pricing, product offerings, positioning, and customer relationships.
- Develop regional market intelligence and share relevant insights with leadership and internal teams.
- Coordinate product demonstrations, customer presentations, workshops, site visits, and commercial meetings.
- Work with Marketing to develop account-based campaigns, customer communications, events, and engagement programs.
- Collaborate with Customer Success and Operations teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and ongoing service delivery.
- Coordinate customer implementation, service, delivery, and support requirements where applicable.
- Act as an escalation point for significant customer issues and coordinate appropriate resolution.
- Develop service-recovery plans for customer complaints, performance issues, and delivery challenges.
- Monitor customer commitments and ensure internal teams meet agreed service requirements.
- Coordinate with regional operations teams to address market-specific customer requirements.
- Work with Product and Technical teams to communicate customer feedback, requirements, and opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for product, service, process, or solution improvements based on customer insights.
- Develop relationships with senior customer executives and strategic decision-makers.
- Build multi-level customer relationships to reduce account concentration and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Identify opportunities to expand relationships into new business units, locations, products, services, or markets.
- Support regional business development initiatives and strategic account acquisition.
- Participate in industry events, customer forums, conferences, and networking activities.
- Represent the organization professionally in customer and industry interactions.
- Manage account budgets, commercial resources, customer-related expenses, and approved activities where applicable.
- Ensure customer activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, pricing guidelines, and applicable regulations.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality of customer, commercial, pricing, and strategic information.
- Prepare regular account-performance reports and executive updates.
- Provide leadership with recommendations on customer retention, growth opportunities, commercial risks, and regional priorities.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in account management, regional sales, key-account management, business development, customer success, commercial management, or strategic sales, preferably within an international or multi-market environment.
