The Regional Clinical Director (RCD) will work with providers in their assigned territory to educate and offer support to all providers: core providers, and traditional fellows. The Regional Clinical Director will work to support and implement the Wellnow Urgent Care Fellowship program, as well as support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives and promote best clinical practices at Wellnow by supporting the Clinical Standards Improvement (CSI) initiatives. They will work closely with their assigned territory’s Regional Director Operations (RDO) to maximize the quality of medical care and the efficiency of the medical staff. They will monitor the KPIs for all providers in their assigned territories and work with the team to help them meet company benchmarks and goals. Primary Location: Will over see Indiana. Essential Job Functions: Outstanding Patient Care and Medical Knowledge Maintains patient confidentiality Continuous Practice and Evidence Based Learning Organizes and leads weekly and monthly fellowship meetings Continual mentor to Providers: Fellows and Cores Great Interpersonal and Communication Skills Rounds consistently on Providers Facilitates communication between operations and medical staff Promotes WellNow culture by modeling the mission and values of the organization Professionalism Leads by example always upholding PULSE values Attention to System-Based Practice Ensures the highest level of medical education to the providers and fellows at WellNow Provides visible support and oversees the patient experience to ensure they are positioned to meet or exceed company goals. Participates in all ordinary functions of management including interviewing and selection of medical staff, disciplinary actions and performance evaluations. Provides orientation, training and cross training for all medical staff: fellows and new core providers, to ensure that all competencies, policies, established practices and standards are followed and adhered to. Addresses individual or team performance deficiencies. Clearly communicates enterprise goals and objectives to employees. Collaborates with RDO and HR on HR matters related to the team. Provides input to the Office of the Chief Medical Officer on initiatives, policies, and practices that support company goals and objectives. Respond to patient grievances in assigned territory Supports pilot initiatives such as, but not limited to new systems, new processes, etc. assigned to their territories. Education Activities: Mentor traditional fellows Participate in facilitation of Fellowship Program Activities: Take active leadership role in assigned didactic and hands on learning in Phase 1 and 2. Throughout fellowship coordinate 1:1s and group calls while checking in on the progress of the fellows with KPIs and independent course work (ie. CCUCM, Medmaster etc) Educate core mentors on how to best work with and precept Wellnow fellows Use dependable measures to assess fellows’ current competence in all areas of urgent care and occupational medicine while also measuring progress Monitor past fellows Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure maintain excellence or continued improvement Create biannual report of past fellows, traditional and accelerated, KPIs, versus current external core providers (external core provider defined to be hired in last 12 months). Partner with Regional Education Directors to monitor any ongoing student rotations in assigned region. Gather and monitor feedback from mentors of fellows and fellows of mentors. Participate in interviews of all providers for your assigned region. Serve as Core Faculty within the fellowship program and ensure fellows in assigned territories continue to meet standards to maintain national accreditation Participate in needs and meetings of the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) committee and assist in the development and education of Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) Participate in needs and regular meetings of the Clinical Standards Improvement (CSI) committed and assist in the development and implementation of Focused Professional Performance Evaluation Plans (FPPEs) Responsible for the overall quality, as determined by the Quality Management Plan, for all medical providers in your region. Responsible for clinical documentation improvement and timely completion of patient charts for all providers in their region. Responsible for creation of yearly Ongoing Professional Performance Evaluations (OPPE) for all providers in your region. Operational Support: Work directly with Operational leadership to manage clinical scheduling of traditional fellows, including time for didactic training. Monitor KPIs of all providers in assigned region and coach providers who are below enterprise benchmarks. Partner with RDO to maximize efficiency of assigned territory clinics Assist in in the management of medical grievances received in assigned territory. Clinical: Work shifts in assigned territory Provide feedback to the Office of the Chief Medical Officer and Operational Leadership on initiatives and procedures implemented in the clinic WellNow is an EOE Minimum Job Qualifications: Minimum of one year of previous leadership experience in healthcare Experience in quality initiatives highly preferred. Outstanding patient care and knowledge. Ability to work well independently evaluating and managing patients Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Friendly and customer service oriented Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Strong “Crucial Conversation” skills Continuous practice-based learning with commitment to the specialty of Urgent Care Travel at least 65% of the time to assigned sites, including shifts worked and observing and mentoring fellows and core providers Education: Graduate from an accredited PA or NP program Physician Assistant- Active board certification with NCCPA is required Nurse Practitioner- Active board certification with AANP or ANCC is required Required License or Certification Licensed provider in state they practice and supervise Maintain national certifications for their degree, PA or NP Mental and Visual Requirements: Works in clean, smoke-free and well-lighted spaces. Exposure to frequent deadlines/ must have ability to handle stress effectively, subject to frequent interruptions Must have good visual and hearing acuity. Must be able to utilize keyboard and view computer screens up to 90% of shift. Must be able to follow directions and plan fairly complex processes & workflow Physical Activities and Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend, climb, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions of hands and/or wrists.
