This is more than an operational management role. About the Role As Regional Operations Manager, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a number of services, supporting and developing our Service Managers to deliver outstanding outcomes. You will be responsible for ensuring that our services operate safely, effectively and in line with regulatory requirements, while also achieving our clinical, operational and commercial objectives. We are looking for someone who is inquisitive, confident and not afraid to ask difficult questions . Someone who can step back and see the bigger picture but is equally comfortable getting into the detail – whether that's staffing levels, financial performance, service quality, incidents or recruitment. You will lead by example, spending time within our services, getting to know the people we support and building strong relationships with residents, families, colleagues and external stakeholders. What You'll Be Doing As part of this senior leadership role, you will: Provide strong operational leadership across multiple services, ensuring consistently high standards of care and support. Lead, coach and mentor Service Managers, helping them develop their leadership skills and deliver against agreed objectives and KPIs. Maintain oversight of CQC compliance, governance, quality and risk management , ensuring robust systems are embedded across the region. Provide clinical leadership and oversight of clinical pathways, resident suitability and risk management. Monitor and improve operational performance, including staffing, recruitment, deployment, financial control and resource management. Drive performance against clinical, regulatory, operational and commercial targets . Work collaboratively with Business Development to support occupancy and income growth, including involvement in referral screening and placement decisions. Build strong relationships with commissioners, healthcare professionals, housing partners and other external stakeholders. Provide leadership and direction when managing significant incidents, ensuring appropriate follow-up and learning. Work closely with HR on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, talent development and organisational change. Ensure staff have the training, skills and support required to deliver safe, effective and person-centred services. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and lead change across the region. Work collaboratively with the wider Senior Management Team on strategic and business-critical projects. Participate in the senior management on-call rota, providing advice and support when required. What We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced leader who can demonstrate: A strong track record of senior leadership and operational management . Experience working within a regulated health or social care environment . Strong knowledge and understanding of CQC regulations, compliance and governance . Experience managing multiple services or sites. The ability to manage budgets, control costs and understand the commercial drivers of a region. A proven ability to deliver against KPIs and business objectives. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. A transparent, collaborative and values-led leadership style. The confidence to challenge, investigate and ask the right questions. A keen eye for detail and the ability to identify risks and opportunities that others may overlook. The resilience and organisation to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
