Reporting to the Director, Canada, this role leads Tensar sales across Eastern Canada: Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada. Preferred base location is the Greater Toronto Area or Montreal.
What You'll Do
- Assist and support the qualification of Tensar proprietary systems by successfully implementing bid strategies to close business
- Create specifications for Tensar systems with municipal and consulting engineers and pull them through to construction, working with owners, contractors and distribution partners
- Act as a liaison between Tensar' s engineering department and the client to maximize efficiency and effectiveness
- Develop and execute a business development plan focused on transportation, private development, commercial projects and civil construction
- Manage and grow distributor relationships across the territory
- Train, educate, and provide technical support to distributors and provide job site assistance as required
- Generate monthly reports to the Area Director to track key projects in each sector and forecast sales for manufacturing
What You'll Need
- Minimum 5 years work experience in the construction industry
- 5+ years of sales experience
- Experience creating specifications with municipal and consulting engineers and carrying them through to construction preferred
- Experience selling through or supporting distribution partners
- Bilingual verbal and written communication in English and French
- Ability to travel regionally between 25% to 50% of the time
- Ability to work independently and with a team, detail oriented, interpersonal and negotiation skills and customer relations abilities
- Ability to demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills by performing multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritizing work assignments
- Ability to navigate in a matrixed organization
- Leader with a sense of urgency and dedication to the success of the projects assigned and the overall company goals.
Your Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience preferred
