Job Description:

Are you ready to collaborate with leading experts in optical engineering and contribute to the next level of precision and innovation?

At Zygo, your skills and insights will be integral to our core values of curiosity, collaboration, and persistence. For over 50 years, Zygo Corporation has been a global leader in advanced optical metrology systems, ultra-precise optical components, and complex electro-optical systems. Join our team, where your expertise will drive innovative solutions, address complex technical challenges, and uphold the highest standards of precision and safety.

As a Regional Sales Manager, you will lead growth initiatives across the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada by driving strategic sales, developing new business opportunities, building lasting customer relationships, and delivering innovative metrology solutions. This individual contributor role requires close collaboration with customers, engineering teams, product management, and sales leadership to drive profitable growth throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve profitable growth across the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships through consultative, value-driven selling.
  • Build strong partnerships with customers and internal teams and collaborate with technical experts to develop customized metrology solutions.
  • Manage pricing, discounts, sales forecasts, customer activities, and an accurate opportunity pipeline within Salesforce CRM.
  • Communicate market trends, competitive intelligence, and customer requirements to leadership and product teams, while supporting demonstrations, trade shows, and regional business development activities.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, with at least 5 years of successful technical sales experience selling high-value capital equipment, instrumentation, metrology systems, imaging solutions, or other technical investment goods.
  • Proven hunter mentality and ability to generate new business opportunities while strategically growing existing accounts and customer relationships.
  • Strong technical aptitude, including the ability to understand complex engineering concepts, interpret technical drawings and specifications, and deliver consultative solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with experience managing sales opportunities and forecasts through Salesforce CRM or a similar system.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, resilient, and able to work independently while traveling up to 60% throughout the assigned territory; market knowledge of the Northeastern United States and Eastern Canada is preferred.
  • This is one of the busiest Zygo territories so the ability to multitask & have a hustle mentality is a must.

Bring your passion and commitment to Zygo, where we are curious, collaborative, persistent, confident, and problem-solvers, and where safety and quality guide every step of our journey. Grow with us as we solve complex challenges, inspire confidence, and drive excellence in manufacturing.

Are you ready to expand the boundaries of possibility, simplify the complex, and embody the values that define our success?

We welcome your unique perspective and invite you to join us! We offer competitive base compensation, performance-based incentive compensation, benefits, a 401(k), and paid time off programs. Compensation and position level will be set based on experience.

Due to the nature of Zygo's programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the US and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
