Position Summary The Regional Sales Manager grows 80/20's business across an assigned region by creating demand, expanding customer relationships, and strengthening distributor partnerships. The Canadian market requires a balanced approach to end-user engagement and distributor collaboration. This role identifies new opportunities, expands market coverage, develops distributor capability, and helps customers solve business challenges with 80/20 solutions. Success is measured by profitable regional growth, increasing qualified opportunities, expanding adoption of 80/20 solutions, and creating long-term value for customers, distributor partners, and 80/20. Key Responsibilities Regional Growth Develop and execute a regional growth plan that delivers sustainable revenue and gross profit growth Create demand by identifying customer needs, developing new applications, and engaging customers early in the buying process Identify, qualify, and develop new opportunities with end users, target customers, and distributor partners Expand existing customer relationships by identifying new projects, applications, and growth opportunities Develop a strong understanding of regional markets, customer applications, competitive activity, and industry trends Develop expert knowledge of the 80/20 product portfolio to help customers and distributor partners solve business challenges, identify opportunities, and create value Strengthen distributor partnerships through joint planning, coaching, product support, and ongoing business development Partner with distributors to identify opportunities early, improve market coverage, and increase win rates Recruit and develop distributor partners where needed to strengthen regional coverage and support long-term growth Represent 80/20 with professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a commitment to customer and distributor partner success Business Leadership Coordinate with Sales and cross-functional teams to deliver an exceptional customer and partner experience Maintain accurate CRM data, opportunity pipelines, forecasts, and regional business plans Share market insights and customer feedback that strengthen products, services, and business performance Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve execution, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate regional growth Measures of Success Achieve or exceed revenue, gross profit, and growth objectives Increase qualified opportunities across the region Grow revenue through direct customer engagement and distributor partnerships Strengthen distributor performance and expand market coverage Expand adoption of 80/20 solutions across customers, applications, and markets Maintain accurate forecasts and strong CRM discipline Deliver an exceptional customer and distributor partner experience Drive sustainable regional growth through disciplined execution and sound business judgment Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 5+ years of successful experience in industrial sales, regional sales, channel sales, business development, or related B2B sales roles, preferably in industrial manufacturing, automation, engineered products, material handling, or related industries Bilanguage in English and French (Montreal / Quebec only) Demonstrated success growing business through direct customer engagement and distributor partnerships Proven ability to identify new business opportunities, develop customer relationships, and drive profitable growth Strong consultative selling, relationship management, presentation, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to influence customers, distributor partners, and internal stakeholders while collaborating effectively across Sales and cross-functional teams Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a geographically dispersed region Willingness to travel frequently throughout the assigned region (40-60%) Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field Bilanguage in English and French (Ontario / Toronto-area only) Experience selling engineered, configurable, or technical solutions Experience working with industrial distributors and channel partners Experience supporting manufacturing, automation, material handling, or related industrial markets Knowledge of consultative selling, regional planning, distributor development, and opportunity management Physical Requirements Ability to travel frequently by automobile and commercial airline Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds Ability to safely work in manufacturing facilities and customer environments while following all applicable safety requirements Qualifications Skills Behaviors : Motivations : Education Required High School or better.
