Brief Description
We are recruiting a home-based Regional Surveyor to cover the areas of Sheffield, Wakefield, Lincoln and Doncaster. If you are a fully qualified MRICS, FRICS, or AssocRICS Surveyor with strong post‑qualification experience and are looking to join a growing national team, this could be an excellent opportunity.
In this role, you will take ownership of your region and provide specialist property advice to the Group. This includes carrying out mortgage valuations and security assessments on residential investment properties to support our Buy-to-Let (BTL) business and wider Group functions.
Ideally, candidates will be based in or around Sheffield. The role covers the following postcode areas: S, DN, LN, HD, and WF.
Purpose of the Role
The Regional Surveyor will play a key part in ensuring accurate and robust property assessments across the region. This includes:
- Conducting property inspections and producing timely, high‑quality valuation reports
- Providing expert advice to support collateral decisions within the Group
- Assessing market conditions, rental demand, and investment risks
- Ensuring valuation activity meets professional standards and regulatory requirements
- Acting as the regional property specialist, building strong internal relationships with lending, underwriting, and credit teams
- Supporting the growth of the Buy‑to‑Let portfolio through accurate, informed property assessment and advice
Duties And Responsibilities
- Act as the local “Gatekeeper” and subject matter expert for all property matters within the postcode coverage area.
- Manage regional valuation activity, including valuation flow, prioritisation, and oversight of panel valuer inputs.
- Maintain strong working relationships with local panel valuers and ensure the quality, accuracy, and appropriateness of all valuation advice received.
- Represent the Group professionally, providing high‑quality property advice as the face of Paragon within the region.
- Ensure full compliance with RICS regulations, professional standards, and internal policies.
- Keep up to date with local market trends, sector movements, and technical developments — including specialist assets such as HMOs (Houses in Multiple Occupation).
- Assist with Receiver of Rent, Repossession, and Power of Sale processes, providing valuation and property expertise as required.
- Prepare Market Reports and contribute property insight to support Group strategy and decision‑making.
- Support additional Group business lines, including Development Finance, Portfolio Reviews, and Due Diligence activity.
- Attend Head Office when required to undertake the Duty Surveyor role, participate in meetings, training, and project work.
About You
Qualifications and Experience
- Professional surveying qualification: MRICS, FRICS, or AssocRICS, including active registration on the RICS Valuer Registration Scheme.
- Evidence of current and relevant CPD, demonstrating ongoing professional development.
- A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel across the allocated regio n.

W orking Hours
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (one hour for lunch).
