Important: This position requires a Level 2 background screening through Florida's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse as a condition of employment, pursuant to Chapters 408 and 435, Florida Statutes. https://ahca.myflorida.com/health-quality-assurance/bureau-of-central-services/background-screening/clearinghouse On-Call Schedule & Compensation: This is a part-time, remote Registered Nurse position specifically for after-hours on-call coverage. The Registered Nurse must be available to answer patient calls on pre-arranged days and is responsible for timely documentation of each patient contact during the coverage period. On-call coverage is provided from 5:00 PM to 8:00 AM and compensation is structured as follows: Full-week coverage (Sunday through Saturday): $500 per week Monday through Friday coverage: $60 per day Saturday and Sunday coverage: $100 per day Snapshot of key accountabilities of the Registered Nurse: Deliver and coordinate quality patient care utilizing professional nursing education and skills in history taking, patient education and follow-up. Provide after-hours coverage and remain available to answer patient calls on pre-arranged days. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of each patient contact during the on-call coverage period. Provide counseling, information and education to patients regarding post-procedure care, follow-up visits, contraceptive methods and reproductive care. Provide information regarding sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases, sterilization, medical concerns, abortion and pregnancy options. Adhere to Planned Parenthood's standing orders, policies and procedures and utilize appropriate supervisory resources when needed. Uphold the confidentiality of patient information and ensure patients receive superior customer service. Maintain current knowledge of PPFL Medical Standards and Guidelines and applicable policies and procedures. Demonstrate a strong understanding of and commitment to Planned Parenthood's mission and workplace values. Complete required training and maintain the knowledge necessary to successfully perform the Registered Nurse role. Experience/Education of the Registered Nurse: Must reside in the state of Florida. Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of Florida and Compact licensure. Must have a strong understanding of and personal commitment to reproductive rights and the goals and responsibilities of Planned Parenthood. Excellent organizational, communication and sound decision-making skills. Must have a commitment to efficiency and quality. Must be comfortable when discussing sexuality, contraception, sexually transmitted diseases and pregnancy options. Ability to recognize and function appropriately in sensitive situations.
