The Role In this role, you will leverage both your clinical background and CDI expertise to evaluate complex inpatient records and ensure documentation accurately reflects patient acuity and care delivery. This is a highly collaborative yet independent position, requiring strong clinical judgment without direct patient interaction. This role operates within a flexible 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST work window , allowing autonomy in structuring your day while maintaining strong collaboration with the broader team. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education: RN, graduate of accredited nursing program and Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire. Experience: A minimum of three years of experience as a Clinical Documentation Specialist is required. Clinical experience in multiple areas, particularly in the ICU, is preferred. Licensure: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs. The pay range for this role is $67,859.00 - $135,718.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
