Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC)

Port to Port Immigration Services Inc. — Halifax, Nova Scotia (Hybrid) — Full-time — $65,000–$85,000 CAD

Take on a full caseload of employer-driven files — LMIAs, TFWP streams, and work permit applications —

Port to Port Immigration Services works with approximately 70 employer-clients across seafood processing, healthcare, hospitality, agriculture, and the skilled trades.

We're hiring a licensed RCIC to carry a full independent caseload.

What you'll do

  • Manage a full caseload of LMIA applications from employer intake through decision, including recruitment compliance, wage and job-offer review, and ESDC correspondence
  • Prepare and submit associated work permit applications (employer-specific and, where applicable, transitions to permanent residence streams)
  • Advise employer-clients directly on program eligibility, timelines, recruitment obligations, and compliance risk
  • Respond to procedural fairness letters, employer compliance reviews, and inspections
  • Maintain file documentation to CICC standards and to our internal privacy and record-retention requirements
  • Work with our internal team on process improvements — we use file management tools in our workflow and expect consultants to help shape how it's applied

What you need

  • Active RCIC licence in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (non-negotiable — this is a licensed role)
  • Demonstrated experience with LMIA applications and the Temporary Foreign Worker Program
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently, with sound judgment on when to escalate
  • Clear, direct written communication — you'll be corresponding with employers, not just IRCC and ESDC
  • Comfort working with case management software and digital file systems

Nice to have

  • Experience with the Atlantic Immigration Program or Provincial Nominee Program streams
  • Sector familiarity in seafood, healthcare, agriculture, or hospitality
  • French-English bilingualism
  • Experience advising on employer compliance and inspection readiness
  • What we offer

    • $65,000–$85,000 CAD annually, depending on experience and caseload capacity
    • Hybrid schedule out of our Halifax office
    • Support for CICC continuing professional development and licence maintenance
    • Full Benefits
    • Two fully remote weeks a year
    • Profit Sharing
    • RRSP
    • Direct involvement in how the firm operates, including our technology and process decisions

    To apply

Send your resume and a short note about your experience to [email protected]; Please include your RCIC number and provide references.

Port to Port Immigration Services Inc. is an equal opportunity employer. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates and will provide accommodation during the recruitment process on request.
