What’s the opportunity?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Asset Based Lending professional to join our CBF Operations team and take ownership of day-to-day relationships with a portfolio of clients.

You’ll be a key point of contact for clients, building a strong understanding of their businesses while ensuring their facilities are managed effectively and risks are identified and addressed proactively.

Working closely with colleagues across CBF, you’ll combine relationship management, operational expertise and sound risk judgement in a role offering real responsibility and the opportunity to further develop your career within Asset Based Lending.

Where You Will Work

You’ll be based in our Manchester office, with hybrid working of four days in the office and one day from home.

How You Will Make an Impact

Manage a portfolio of clients, developing a strong understanding of their businesses, facilities and relationships with their debtors.
Act as a primary day-to-day contact for clients, building strong relationships and delivering a consistently high standard of service.
Manage the administration of client ledgers, payment requests and monthly management information effectively and in accordance with policy and practice.
Proactively manage and respond to issues identified through the month-end reconciliation process.
Oversee daily balancing of the operating system and support the accurate processing of client payments through operating and banking systems.
Support the successful onboarding of new clients, helping create a positive experience from the beginning of the relationship.
Maintain thorough records and provide effective reporting and feedback to Relationship Managers and the Head of Portfolio Management.
Apply strong risk management judgement while overseeing the maintenance of collateral funded by CBF.
Share your experience and knowledge to help train and develop more junior colleagues within the team.
Develop a strong understanding of CBF and wider Cynergy Bank products and services, identifying opportunities to better support client needs.
Remain vigilant to AML and financial crime risks and operate in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.

What You Will Bring

Established, hands-on experience within Asset Based Lending, with the capability to manage client relationships and associated operational and risk requirements.
Strong risk management skills and the judgement to identify, investigate and escalate potential issues.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills, with a genuinely customer-focused approach.
A proactive approach to problem solving and the confidence to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
Working knowledge of Dancerace or RiskFactor.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
Excellent attention to detail, organisation and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge and support the development of colleagues.
Self-motivation and a desire to continue learning and developing within Asset Based Lending.

ABFA / UK Finance Certificate Level qualification would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
