BroadStreet Partners is a rapidly growing insurance brokerage platform with 32 Core Partner agencies across the U.S. and Canada. We help high-performing independent agencies grow through national carrier access, resources, and support while maintaining the local relationships that drive success.


To support this growth, one of our Core Partners is looking to add a Business Development Representative / Relationship Manager to their team. This individual will help drive growth across the Eastern region by building trusted relationships with retail insurance agents and identifying new business opportunities. This role will focus on developing new Workers’ Compensation opportunities, strengthening existing partnerships, and introducing agency partners to additional products and services.


This is a remote position; however, candidates must be based in Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, or Knoxville, or the surrounding metropolitan areas. Candidates outside of these locations will not be considered at this time.


This position requires approximately 50% travel throughout the Eastern region, including overnight travel as needed.


What You’ll Do

  • Generate new business and drive revenue growth within an assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail insurance agents and agency partners.
  • Identify new business, growth, and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Educate agency partners on available products and services.
  • Participate in agency visits, trade shows, industry events, and carrier meetings.
  • Partner with underwriting and internal teams to support client service and retention strategies.
  • Work toward territory revenue, profitability, and performance goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established workflows and processes.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with agents, carriers, clients, and internal teams.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.


What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • 3+ years of sales experience.
  • Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and data entry skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing responsibilities, and effectively manage multiple tasks.
  • Resourceful, organized, and self-directed approach.
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Desire to learn and grow within the insurance industry.
  • Insurance Producer’s License for Casualty and Fire, or the ability to obtain the appropriate licensing within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing or developing a Workers’ Compensation book of business.
  • Established relationships with insurance agencies throughout the Eastern region.
  • Experience with insurance policy management systems and CRM platforms.
  • Experience working in a remote environment.


Compensation

This position offers a base salary plus commission structure. The anticipated base salary range is $50,000–$65,000 annually, with commissions targeting approximately $18,000 annually, with additional earning potential based on performance.


Starting compensation is generally targeted around the midpoint of the applicable salary range and will be determined based on relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
