What You Will Do This role owns the upgrade and release process end-to-end, including customer and internal communications, status updates, deployment, release notes, smoke testing, and ensuring every customer upgrade is successful, tracked, planned, and on schedule. You'll serve as the link between Engineering, QA, Customer Success, and Product during every release cycle, giving leadership and customers clear visibility into where a release stands at all times. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants ownership over a process and can apply their platform knowledge to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Your focus areas will include: Release Coordination: Own the end-to-end release process for both planned and hotfix releases, keeping every stage on track from regression through production. Track releases through regression, beta, and production in partnership with QA and Engineering; escalate risks, blockers, and scope changes as needed. Create deployment checklists, perform CLTs, upgrade test environments, conduct test executions, and support client UAT; tag releases and coordinate production deployments with Engineering. Publish release timelines and milestones; schedule and facilitate release-related meetings; communicate upgrade progress to customers and internal teams. Draft, upload, and maintain release notes on the HUB; coordinate beta, pilot, and early-adopter selection with Customer Success and Product; maintain project plans, dashboards, and status reporting in Jira. Customer Upgrade Communications: Lead customers through every step of the upgrade process, ensuring they understand what to expect, what is required of them, and where things stand. Proactively communicate status updates, next steps, timelines, and any changes so no customer is left waiting or guessing. Customer Success Support: Support the Customer Success team with support tickets and tasks, drawing on Aspenware platform expertise to diagnose configuration issues and guide customers through the upgrade process. QA Testing Support: Assist the Quality Assurance team with regression and QA testing when customer upgrades are not in progress, applying platform knowledge to identify and contextualize issues as they surface. Who You Are You're organized and calm under the pressure of a release week, and you default to over-communicating status rather than waiting to be asked. You're comfortable being the person who chases down an answer from Engineering, QA, Customer Success, Product, and a customer in the same afternoon. You bring solid project-coordination instincts (planning, tracking, reporting) and apply them in service of the release. Most importantly, you know the Aspenware platform well enough to recognize when something looks wrong and understand why, because the most critical moments in this role happen when things don't go as planned. Required qualifications: 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Aspenware Commerce, RTP, or comparable mountain resort ecommerce software Experience working in or directly with the ski or outdoor resort industry Strong written and verbal communication skills across technical and client-facing audiences Proven ability to track and report status across multiple concurrent workstreams Comfort working directly with Engineering/QA to own a process end-to-end, not just monitor it Bonus points: Prior experience as a Release Manager or Release Coordinator Working knowledge of a software release lifecycle (regression, beta, production) Experience with QA testing and Customer Service Experience coordinating Agile software delivery using Jira Familiarity with Git / release branching and tagging Experience with JIRA Service Manager, Confluence, or X-Ray What's In It for You 4 weeks of PTO to start; increases with seniority 11 paid holidays 6 days of sick time Paid parental leave for both primary and secondary parents Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance 401k plan with a 5% match Annual all-company ski day National Park Pass Annual Wellness Stipend
