Release/Change Manager

We are currently looking for an experienced Change/Release Manager to join an international team responsible for coordinating enterprise software releases across complex IT environments.

In this role, you will manage the end-to-end release lifecycle, ensuring successful planning, coordination, and deployment of software releases while working closely with development, infrastructure, QA, and business teams. You will play a key role in maintaining release quality, minimizing risks, and ensuring smooth production deployments across large-scale enterprise systems.

• Work model: 100% Remote (occasional onsite meetings up to twice per year)
• Budget: 150–170 PLN net/hour – B2B
• Project length: Long-term
• Start date: ASAP (depending on the candidate's availability)
• Only candidates with citizenship in the European Union and residence in Poland

Your responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and manage software release cycles across multiple applications and teams
• Define release schedules, windows, and deployment plans
• Coordinate release activities across development, QA, infrastructure, and business stakeholders
• Identify, manage, and mitigate release risks and resolve issues impacting delivery timelines
• Lead release readiness reviews, deployment planning, and milestone tracking
• Validate release documentation, including release notes and deployment checklists
• Ensure successful deployments to test and production environments
• Coordinate release content related to operating system updates and third-party applications
• Collaborate with release engineers to manage code merges, branching strategies, and deployment processes
• Monitor release progress to ensure delivery within agreed quality standards and timelines
• Support continuous improvement of release management processes, automation, and deployment practices
• Develop technical documentation and support knowledge sharing across teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Release Manager, Change Manager, or in a similar release coordination role
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in complex enterprise environments
• Knowledge of software infrastructure and configuration management processes
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and spoken English

Nice to have:

• Experience with Jira, ServiceNow, TFS, or similar release management tools
• Basic knowledge of message queue technologies (MQ or similar)
• Microsoft certifications
• Experience working with complex legacy systems and large enterprise environments

Additional information:

• Monthly release schedule with occasional weekend release support (on-call approximately once per month)
• Onsite presence may be required for client visits, onboarding, or workshops (maximum twice per year)
