Purpose of Position
The Reliability & Data Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and continuously improving Continuing Airworthiness and Surveillance Programs (CASP) applicable to the fleets operated by NTA, NATUK and EJME. The position ensures that accurate, complete and traceable operational and maintenance data is transformed into meaningful reliability intelligence to monitor aircraft, system and component performance; identify adverse trends and emerging concerns; support evidence-based technical decisions and improvement actions; and enhance continuing airworthiness, safety, regulatory compliance, operational reliability and fleet availability. The role serves as the focal point for aircraft reliability information, analysis and reporting, supporting effective collaboration across Maintenance, Engineering, Flight Operations, Safety, Compliance, aircraft manufacturers and other relevant stakeholders.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop, document, implement, maintain and continuously improve the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance Programs (CASP) applicable to each fleet, ensuring alignment with approved procedures, regulatory requirements and organisational objectives;
- Collect, review, correct, validate and reconcile aircraft operational and maintenance data at source to maintain accurate, complete, consistent and traceable reliability information within the Computerised Maintenance Tracking System (CMTS) and associated reporting;
- Establish and maintain effective data-management protocols, validation rules and data-quality indicators supporting CASP analysis, reporting and informed decision-making;
- Analyse reliability inputs and quantify fleet, aircraft, system and component performance using approved metrics, alert levels, trends and patterns;
- Conduct targeted reliability investigations and technical studies covering individual aircraft, systems, components, recurring or repetitive defects, removals, delays, cancellations, Aircraft on Ground events and other adverse trends;
- Identify emerging reliability concerns, assess their safety, compliance and operational significance, and recommend proportionate investigations, corrective actions or preventive measures;
- Produce accurate and timely reliability dashboards, reports and management information using approved analytical and visualisation applications, including Tableau or equivalent tools;
- Coordinate with NJA and other certificate holders to support consistent delivery, interpretation and exchange of CASP data and metrics, while recognising applicable regulatory, procedural and operational differences;
- Lead the Reliability Board Meetings by preparing and presenting reliability performance analyses, coordinating stakeholder reviews, documenting and distributing board outputs, and managing the implementation and closure of agreed actions to support data-driven decision-making, regulatory compliance and continuous fleet reliability improvement.
- Liaise with Fleet Products, Maintenance, Engineering, Flight Operations, Safety, Compliance and other operational departments to resolve data-quality issues and support effective reliability investigations;
- Evaluate reliability results and recommend improvements to aircraft maintenance programmes, inspection requirements, engineering orders, maintenance procedures, operational processes and related technical documentation;
- Provide reliability data and analytical support for fleet technical improvement projects, predictive-maintenance initiatives and preventive-maintenance actions;
- Support the development and implementation of reliability improvement initiatives by supplying validated evidence, monitoring performance after implementation and confirming whether the intended benefits have been achieved;
- Provide technical reliability support to Maintenance, Engineering and Flight Operations, including coordination with Fleet Products teams, aircraft manufacturers, original equipment manufacturers, type-certificate holders and other external technical stakeholders;
- Escalate adverse trends, alert-level exceedances, significant data-quality issues and matters potentially affecting safety, compliance, continuing airworthiness or aircraft availability through the established reporting and governance channels
- Ensure all reliability activities, analyses, reports and records are completed in accordance with applicable regulations, approved company procedures, internal controls and document-retention requirements;
