About The Role

• Lead full-cycle KYC/EDD data processing: reviewing, inputting, updating, and maintaining customer due diligence data with accuracy and completeness;
• Compare KYC reports against source and reference documents (corporate registries, ownership charts, screening results) to verify accuracy and flag discrepancies;
• Ensure data quality assurance: review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any errors or inconsistencies in KYC records;
• Perform end-to-end data quality validation and cleansing: identify anomalies, resolve inconsistencies, and ensure datasets meet accuracy and completeness standards before use in analysis or reporting;
• Apply working knowledge of KYC/AML regulatory requirements and banking compliance standards to identify red flags and escalate appropriately;
• Proactively work with the Data Services Team to solve any issue or problem that might occur during the process that may impact the project;
• Work closely with teammates to assess the feasibility and possible solutions to ensure progress and quality of data delivered;
• Contribute to and identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and cross-functional internal data projects.
  
  

Requirements

[Must have]

• 3-5 years of experience in KYC, AML, or banking/financial services compliance operations;
• Solid understanding of KYC/EDD processes, customer due diligence documentation, and corporate ownership structures;
• Good literacy and communication skills (verbal and written) in English; Intermediate English (B2) or above;
• Proactiveness, detail-oriented, constant-learning mindset, good time management;
• Strong interest in data and analytics projects and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies;
• Proficient in Excel formulas, data structures, and basic visualisation;
• Experience using Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, PDF tools, and data tools;
• Have a basic understanding of how common AI tools work, including their common applications and limitations;
• Ability to research and adopt other data tools as project needs;
• Ability to work independently and reliably as a freelancer, meeting agreed hours and deadlines.

• Personal laptop;
• Chinese language literacy (reading and writing) as a plus for data work involving Chinese-language sources;
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field;
• Exposure to AI/LLM platforms;
• Experience with Python or R for advanced data analysis and automation.
