This role builds strong customer relationships, ensures delivery of high-quality solutions, and drives incremental revenue through account planning and execution. The Strategic Account Manager partners with senior colleagues to support global initiatives and contributes to long-term client partnerships, while progressively developing toward senior-level account leadership. Essential Functions Performed by the Position · Manage assigned strategic accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for customer stakeholders. · Develop and implement account plans aligned with customer needs and company objectives. · Support contract negotiations, renewals, and day-to-day commercial agreements. · Identify and pursue growth opportunities within accounts, including cross-selling and upselling. · Build strong working relationships with customer stakeholders at operational and mid-senior levels. · Collaborate with internal teams (R&D, operations, finance, legal) to deliver solutions and resolve issues. · Track account performance, profitability, and pipeline; provide updates and forecasts to sales leadership. · Prepare presentations, proposals, and reports for customer and internal reviews. · Contribute to tender and RFP processes under the guidance of senior colleagues. · Support Senior Strategic Account Managers and Strategic Account Directors on global or high-value accounts. · Mentor junior account team members and inside sales colleagues. Certifications/Licenses: · None required. · Certifications in Strategic Selling, Key Account Management, or negotiation advantageous. Language Proficiency: · Fluent in English. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities · Strong account management and relationship-building skills. · Commercial acumen; ability to assess account profitability and ROI. · Skilled in solution selling and supporting negotiations. · Excellent communication and presentation skills. · Strong organizational and time management abilities. · Comfortable coordinating cross-functional teams. · Ability to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment. Working Hours and Conditions · Hybrid: Office, client site, and remote as applicable. Physical Characteristics and Demands · Desk- and meeting-based, with customer interaction. Travel Requirements · Moderate travel (15%–25%) for customer meetings, account reviews, and events.
